ā€¼ļø āš ļø ACTION ALERT! If you love wilderness areas and backcountry climbing routes, please speak up by Sept 21!ā€¼ļøāš ļø

Last summer, thousands of climbers spoke up against plans to rescind the Roadless Area Conservation Rule, which protects nearly 58.5 million acres of undeveloped national forest lands. Your voice made a difference then, and we need you to act again.

The US Forest Service has released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement with a proposal to rescind the Roadless Rule, opening a public comment period through September 21.

Rescinding the rule would strip protections from nearly 45 million acres, threatening wild landscapes that include more than 10,000 backcountry climbing routes. There are better ways to improve forest health and reduce wildfire risk without sacrificing these protections.

Raise a glass to one of our own, Audrie Pelosi, at Tumbled Rock Brewery & Kitchen with a b**r brewed in her honor, and proceeds benefitting the WCA.

Climb on, Audrie.

Baraboo has always been a place that comes together—and here at Tumbled Rock, we believe b**r is about bringing people together.

Our town was deeply affected by the loss of Audrie Pelosi, an avid climber, beloved wife, cherished friend, and valued member of our climbing family. We hope to honor her life and incredible legacy with our newest b**r, Boulder & Braver.

Boulder & Braver is an American Cream Ale conditioned with passion fruit, Cara Cara orange, and pineapple.

Available beginning Tuesday, July 28.

Throughout the month of August, $1 from every pint sold will be donated to the Wisconsin Climbers Association in Audrie's honor.

The Wisconsin Climbers Association is a collective of advocates dedicated to serving as a voice for Wisconsin climbers. They work to foster connections among climbers, address access issues, and promote responsible stewardship of the land.

Please join us in raising a glass to Audrie, her family, and everyone whose lives she touched.

Climbers, here's an opportunity to provide input on climbing in state parks and forests! (Plus information in general about our state park system.) Please weigh in, and voice your interest in climbing on DNR-managed lands!

Help shape the future of Wisconsin’s state parks, forests, recreation areas and trails!

We are currently updating the strategic plan for the Wisconsin State Park System, and we want to hear from you. Share your thoughts by completing an online survey. Responses will be collected now through Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026. Please note: public comments will only be accepted via the online survey.

Your input will be used to help identify issues and opportunities for the Wisconsin State Park System, as well as to set goals and direct improvements throughout the state. Feedback from you, our visitors and partners, is a vital tool for making decisions regarding priorities and actions over the next 10 years.

If you need the survey provided in a different format, please send us a DM.
