It is with an incredibly heavy heart, I regret to inform everyone that James has lost his battle with brain cancer. We thank everyone for their support regardless of how big or small. The spirit of "The Golden Classic" will forever live on in the hearts and minds of everyone involved with the Bangor Adapted Baseball team. Rest easy friend

Hello all!

I have updated auction items under the discussion tab of the event created on Facebook as well as pictures of a few trucks entered into the event. I’ve got 25 trucks signed up so far!

Saturday, October 18th at 2:00pm I will be over to Mansfield to do some setup before some of the chaos ensues. Anyone who has auction items to give me is welcome to swing by and drop them off. Anyone who wants to come help set up tables and whatnot you’re welcome to come over as well.

Sunday, October 19th at 10am the Touch a Truck will start. $5 to enter, kids get in free. IF YOU ARE A PARENT?GUARDIAN OF A PLAYER YOUR ADMISSION IS FREE. The game will be free to enter for all, admission will be shut down around 12-12:30. The event will take up the whole parking lot, you are welcome to drive up to the entrance and drop players off. Fairmount School has a lot across the street, Amicus is allowing us to use the lot as well, and we also have the lot for the Panko Pool as well. There will be street parking close to the entrance for anyone who needs a “handicap” spot. It won’t be perfect but certainly better than nothing. All trucks will be getting there between 9-9:30, anyone wishing to volunteer and help with the event if you could be there between 9:45-10. We will have the support from Husson Baseball both in the morning and during the game so please don’t feel pressured to help! Silent auction will go till 12:30, prize winners will be drawn and displayed by 12:45.

GAME TIME: 1:00pm
ARRIVAL TIME: 12:00pm

Shirts will be handed out upon arrival, the reason for early arrival is Lindsey Pellett has graciously offered to do individual and family photos of you all if you are interested. Upon arrival we will hand out the new shirts, I will have extra hats as well if needed. Same attire as we did with the firefighter game, baseball pants if you have them but if not sweat pants will be fine. Please no shorts! I will have water/gatorade in the dugout.

Post game we will have the annual banquet with food supplied by Nora’s food truck. We will have other snacks and deserts as well, all are welcome to join and hang out!

Update- All orders that had been placed were done yesterday and then the engraving software crashed. I have been trying to get it going all day today. At the moment I'm not able to take more orders 😥

We have created these custom brain cancer awareness ribbon pins for our dear friend James and 100% is donated to him and his family ❤

$5 each. There are somewhat limited supplies so would like to take as many custom orders before Sunday's event (link will be in comments for the event and can be paid for there) and will update as colors or charms are out of stock. Payment can be made Sunday. Tag colors available are red, orange, green, blue, turquoise, purple, pink, black, silver and gold. Charms available are bats, glove or baseball. It has come to my attention that one of our fellow teammates has been diagnosed with brain cancer. James is a spark to the team and a great personality on and off the field. Today there was some excitement at Mansfield Stadium, some of Bangor's Bravest took on the Bangor Adapted Baseball team! We were so happy to be invited back again this year. Thank you for having us!

This is a great program that brings the joy of a team sport to people who might otherwise not have the opportunity to play. What an amazing program!
