Many folk don’t know but, this school year I have been blessed to work with youth in Philadelphia. My role at the school allowed me to help direct our arts showcase. We have been planning and working for some time and finally Tuesday was showtime! The theme was “We are Royal” and my babies showed out! I just got some footage back from our student videographer and just fell in love at how chunk was just chilling while momma was working! I heard my baby crying and just couldn’t resist getting my baby! Looking at this I am reminded how blessed I am in every way! To do the work I do and show up as Magik EVERYDAY! Part of my destiny is to uplift and activate these babies while helping them remember their power! As I teach them they teach me and it’s beautiful ✨❤️

I want to start off by giving great praise to my godparents and . If it were not for their guidance and translation of Ifa, I would not be where I am today. I will always give thanks to them first for introducing me to my , , and . For helping me to REMEMBER who I am and why I am here. Ifa has been so good to me, Ifa saved my life. Ifa brings me the clarity I need to walk in my highest destiny. I give thanks for the redirection back to ! I love y’all! ✨

Mannnn, ok…Let’s go.
This video has been sitting in my phone for a second because I haven’t been sure how to translate the feels into a caption. Let’s give it a go tho! ✨✨✨

Dancing has been my saving grace recently. When energy starts to feel too heavy in my body I bounce it out. When I’m dancing, my connection to spirit feels the strongest. I surrender and sacrifice my body to the vibrations and guidance of spirit. As many of you may know, I am a huge advocate for what many know to be “twerking” it’s medicine for me, allowing my sacral (water)energy to flow. It’s a challenge to share my medicine when it’s viewed as something negative or sexualized by most. Buuuuuut, it’s f**k it time! I will be bringing back “Reclaiming my womb” twerk sessions but this time holding space online.
What many people don’t know is that “twerking” is a very old dance style called “Mapuka” that originated in Africa to express joy, marriage and connect with spirit. It is also known as "la danse du fessier", or "the dance of the behind". Basically It’s ancestral AF. It’s empowering and it’s natural! I’m here to shift the energy on this healing modality!
I will be debuting my first online session this Tuesday as I host weekly plant medicine co-practice. This session is free and will introduce you (if you haven’t been already) to the benefits this medicine provides! Simply register at yoga advocates.com. We will be using essential oil for ! 👀👀 can you already see where I’m going with this one!? Lol

Happy birthday cuz! This has been a very interesting last few weeks since you joined the realm of our ancestors. You are loved and so appreciated. When I came home for thanksgiving, I knew I was being sent on an ancestral mission. When I presented the family with our family stones and explained what it was about you were so open and welcoming of it all. Initially, I was nervous not knowing how everyone would receive this side of me, but you asked questions and even called me later to speak more about it. You complimented me on my energy and the way I’ve grown. I felt seen and accepted and it was beautiful. I took this pic the last day I saw you and I am just realizing that Novella is sitting behind you. The ancestors always have our backs and I know she is there welcoming you home. You transitioning has reinforced even more in me the importance of living and living out loud. So many people are sad about death but are walking around dead inside, no joy, no ambition just day to day life. Thank you for being an example of living. I will always honor that and you! I live out loud for you cuz! I am here to live unapologetically, to make mistakes, to laugh, to explore and leave a legacy JUST LIKE YOU!
