I am SO excited and incredibly grateful to share that I’ve been accepted into 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟭𝟬 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 Goldman Sachs 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻: 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺!

And last night, something hit me.

✨ 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

At the time, I was leading another organization and was there advocating for its work, future, and success. I was deeply invested in helping that organization thrive.

When I started this application process, I honestly did not even remember that moment.

Until last night.

And I smiled. ❤️

Sometimes you don't recognize the significance of a moment until God brings you back around to see it from a completely different place.

I incorporated 𝗨𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘅 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵 because I believed deeply in this work. For years, I built it alongside a career spent leading, transforming, and pouring into other organizations. The passion and vision were always there.

Then life threw me a few curveballs and caused me to ask:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲'𝘀?

So I did.

And BUILD we have. 🔥

Today, Unorthodox Leadership is growing, serving organizations across sectors, developing leaders, advising executives and boards, and creating opportunities I once only imagined.

I am proud of what we have built and humble enough to know that 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

This next chapter is about strengthening the business behind the impact and positioning Unorthodox Leadership for sustainable growth and even greater reach.

I am deeply grateful for Goldman Sachs and its intentional investment in Black women entrepreneurs. 🖤

And I keep coming back to that full-circle moment...
