Hailing from Texas, I know the meaning of hard work and truly believe you cannot have a diamond without the pressures of life. Throughout my life, I have been dealt trials and tribulations that most people could never fathom. Running from a battered home at only sixteen, I never finished high school. After my first husband passed away in 1991, I got my GED and now operate several small businesses,
I take pride in serving the community. Coming from a past of physical and sexual abuse, I have dealt with a life of homelessness, foster care, abusive relationships; the list goes on. I feel that if I can come out on the other side of all the strife life has or I have dealt me, it’s possible for anyone to, which inspired me to ultimately give back by launching my organization, The Struggling Family Fund in 2011 and Life Coaching by Lisa in 2020. The purpose of both is to help individuals know there is more out there for them than the hard times and hurdles they have been given. I strive to give anyone who is listening resources, guidance and most importantly, hope. Constantly underscoring the idea that there is a silver lining around even the darkest cloud. I want those interested in learning more about The Struggling Family Fund and Life Coaching by Lisa to know that they will survive if they keep trying; just like I have done time & time again.
