I knew I was lucky. But I didn’t know how lucky I was as until I got to see become a mom.

Angela has always found ways to make me fall in love with her over and over again. But I didn’t know what I was in for, when I got to see her be a mom.

She’s patient, kind, thoughtful and silly and fun. I got to experience that as a boyfriend and husband and got her all to myself: now I get to share her with two beautiful kids that she fu***ng made. With her body. And she fed with her body. She’s the reason we’re in Maine, and the reason we are a family. I’m so proud of her.

She works her ass off, then comes home and is the same patient, kind, thoughtful, silly and fun person with Iris and Apollo.
I fall in love over over again, just watching the little things that happen around the house.

Angela, I love you so much and am so grateful that your our kids mom. Thanks for all the love you bring into our home.

1st camping trip with an infant is in the books.

It was certainly a fun struggle to share with my love

We love camping and can’t wait to do more of this with our amazing little girl and friends. This weekend was and it’s such a beautiful spot on the

And in two weeks we’re meeting up with and for a trip to

We’re hitting some good spots this summer.

Our life takes a lot of energy but holy cow I love it.

Felt good to be back and shake the cobwebs off

I basically had to take over a month off because off some gastro issues that I’m still currently figuring out….

I knew the first days back would kick my ass.

It’s the hardest hurdle just to get that first day back after a long break (even if you NEEDED the break, it’s still hard to get back)

But get back to it when you feel ready.

Things I tell myself at times like this include: 👇🏽

Don’t wallow in whatever progress you think you lost or missed out on.

Just go.

Pick up where you left off.

Scale back a little bit, because you’re not “exactly where you left off”

Be okay kinda sucking.

Be okay saying “F**k this is harder than I remember”

Rest, don’t quit, and get back to it.

Most importantly, prioritize what you overlooked before.

It’s a marathon not a sprint.

That’s all.

We all need to remember this s**t is lifelong, so listen when your body needs time. It’s a drop in the bucket in the long run if you’re falling apart. ❤️

It is NOT my favorite time of day to work out.

It IS however, when I can fit it in without having any portion of my day feel rushed.

Thats more important.

Acknowledging that allows me to enjoy the workout even more. Knowing I'm using it as fuel.

I'm not fighting to make things fit an idealistic story.

I'm rolling with the punches and checking my perspective along the way. Taking what I'm given with gratitude. Filling others cups from my overflow. Never giving what I dont have.

Thats way frickin easier.

to be able to move at all.

Last week was a rough week. I hurt myself and couldn't work out at all. Couldn't really move quickly at all.

If you know me, you know I tend to almost "bounce" from place to place.

This past week I was forced to take everything at a snails pace.

It got me stuck in my head. I felt like an invalid. and kept me in my lane reminding me to rest, otherwise my recovery would take longer.

I listened, and after 10 days, I had my first workout and holy cow, I didnt go heavy, or intense, but feel SMACKED!

It just feels good to sweat, and move, and after being FORCED not to move, I realize once again how we can all take our ability to move for granted.

If you struggle with motivation for working out, try imagining someone told you you aren't allowed to....does your inner child crave it now?

Mine does.

"It always feels good to assess where you're at...."

Well, the test results came back and confirmed that was a big old lie.

Some days I look at where I'm at, and don't like it.

"I want things to change"

There are a million things I can take action on.

Where do I even start?

How do I know I'm not wasting my time?

Is there a better formula I missed that will get me there faster?

Why didn't I buy ?

When you're trying to see EVERYTHING

You actually can't see ANYTHING.

This discomfort sucks, and it will stay as long as we stay indecisive. Taking a messy wrong action will lead you to the right one much faster.

That's why when one of my coaches points out some "low hanging fruit" that will really improve some aspects of where I'm at, I always seem to have a "dammit, i knew that, and missed it, it was so simple"

Being healthy isn't EASY

But with the community, and support, it can be much more SIMPLE.

If you're uncomfortable, and waiting, take this as a sign.

Do you know why you're training?

Have you asked yourself lately?

Are you checking in with your body to make sure your training is aligning with your goals?

Do you have someone to hold you accountable for the things that you struggle with, but know are good for you?

Without people that support us, and know where we're trying to go, its much harder to stay on that path during difficult days.

I have that person, in multiple people, .123 just to name a few, these people hold me accountable for doing the things I struggle with.

Having this support allows me to also BE this person better for my clients. Boom. Thats how community works ya'll!

Shouts to friend/client for always crushing workouts, and being another amazing artist I've become friends with...my business cards are gonna look DOPE!

Don't give yourself the Mondays!

Mondays don't suck.

Your mindset sucks.

As kids we all relished in that "first day of school" feeling.

Whatever your reasons for being excited to go back to school, you found reasons to get excited.

Maybe it was new teachers

New classes

New friends

New experiences

Shoot, even the new clothes you got to wear on your first day of school If you were so privileged, was a big reason to be excited.

Let me ask you....whered that go?

How can you cultivate that inner child today and fall in love with your Monday, fall in love with the unknown of your week, like you did on the first day of school?

(This may hit different for my teacher friends, y'all are amazing)

Bad News Here⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Workouts don't get less challenging...

And that was never the goal.

You get stronger, and move the needle forward to the next goal.

Our goal was never to make the workouts themselves "easy" for us.

The underlying goal for all of us, is to continue to "show up" for those difficult workouts. Just like we have to show up with our head in the game when life gets rough.

Fitness is cool, but correlating it with your ability to do MORE AS A HUMAN, is where the magic really lies. Because no, some workouts will just never be easy!
