**Shelf Update** We are still on waitlist - currently about 50 orders in waitlist.

Due to an increase in lumber prices (like everything in this world right now 🥴), we are having to increase the price to $250 per shelf moving forward.

I am considering opening up a round of pickup orders. Please note, pickup would be in Azle, Texas.

If you would be interested in a pickup option, please comment below so I can gauge interest before opening orders.

Back in my new DIY installment - 🤪
I have been asked many times if I do shelves for the windows or other dorms - my answer has always been - no, because typically they can be found from big box retailers for cheaper than I could make them. The shelves I create truly came from a place of we couldn't find an option that worked at the time.

Now, the TV shelves that you see on the window ledges are unique - you have to leave space for the air vent that is also there. It was asked about the ones specifically found in the picture below - I knew I had seen it before - and it happened to be in the Class of 2028 group. So I did some searching. You can get two IKEA TV Benches: https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/lack-tv-bench-black-90243297/

In the image, the did not put the bottom shelf on, but that's your option. If you get two of them, they are almost a perfect fit and all for $50!!!

Hey friends! I saw a post today on the Texas Tech Class of 2030 for a shelf set for sale and it got my gears turning for DIY ideas for those who weren't able to secure my shelving for this upcoming school year.

You could get two of these floating shelf units (36" width ones) and zip tie them together (or use ribbon as pictured from the current TTU freshman). You then could use the adhesive furniture anchors that we use with our shelves to secure them (dorm friendly) to the wall.

The total dimensions for the two units would be 72" x 36" - for reference my shelf units are 72" x 48" - so these are not exact, but still very close!

Amazon shows the weight of the product at 9.9lbs, so seems relatively lightweight.
Amazon also states the weight capacity of 171 lbs per shelf. (**I wouldn't recommend putting that much on there though. 🤪)

Everyone who got into the second round of orders - CONGRATS! 🎉 In less than 24 hours we officially MAXED OUT and orders are now closed.

An email has been sent to everyone whose order was submitted with next steps and payment information. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it!

A quick note - I am talking with my family about the possibility of a third round. I’ll be honest, transporting everything from Fort Worth to Lubbock is quite the undertaking and truly takes all hands on deck.

So if you were hoping to snag a TTU Shelf Lady original, keep an eye on my page 👀

I opened Round 2 of orders less than an hour ago and y’all were NOT playing!!

My email is pinging nonstop, which is honestly amazing. I’m incredibly grateful for the support and trust so many of you are showing. It truly means a lot!!

Because things are coming in so quickly, instead of sending confirmations one by one, I’m going to wait until later this evening or tomorrow and send out a bulk confirmation email to everyone.

I just wanted to hop on here quickly to assure you as long as you see the Google form confirmation at the end - I AM in fact getting your orders!

Also - for anyone from Round 1 who hasn’t submitted payment yet, I would highly recommend getting that taken care of ASAP to ensure your spot is secured.

At the pace things are going today, I can say with almost certainty that we are going to hit maximum capacity during this second round.

So if you’ve been on the fence… this is very likely the last opportunity to grab one.

Thank you all again for the overwhelming support. I’m excited to help get these shelves into Raiderland and make dorm life a little easier for your students!
