Wellā€¦ thatā€™s a wrap on shelf season 2026. šŸ¤Ŗ

And what a THIRD YEAR it has been.

The response this year was absolutely overwhelming in the very best way. So many shelves, so many families, so much loading, painting, hauling, texting, organizing, and questionable trailer Tetris. šŸ˜‚

We did hit one little plot twist this morning.

About halfway through our pickups, Housing asked that all shelf makers leave campus. Thankfully, the TT police officers were incredibly kind and worked with us so that everyone who had already paid for a shelf was able to get theirs before we headed out.

Which unfortunately means we are currently eastbound toward Fort Worthā€¦ with some very well-traveled shelves still riding in the trailer. šŸ˜–šŸ˜‚

You may also notice a little rebranding around here. I am now officially The Shelf Lady.

A number of my posts were flagged this morning for using the schoolā€™s name and branding, so Iā€™m cleaning things up and making something very clear that Iā€™m pretty sure yā€™all already knew:

Iā€™m not affiliated with the university. Iā€™m literally just a momma with power tools, a trailer, and an oddly specific knowledge of one very weird empty space in certain dorm rooms. šŸ¤£

Thank you to every single family who trusted me again this year. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, kind messages, referrals, and for rolling with us when plans changed.

Year three is officially in the books. ā¤ļø

THANK YOU for being so flexible with us today. TTU parking changed this year and definitely threw a wrench into what I thought was a pretty solid plan. šŸ¤£

NOWā€¦ if you have already paid for a shelf and are scheduled to pick up tomorrow, Saturday 8/22, I need to hear from you!

Right now, weā€™re expecting to be ready for shelf pickup around 3:15ā€“3:30 PM if youā€™d like to come grab yours early!

We are officially WESTBOUND! ā¤ļøšŸ–¤

Thereā€™s a chance we may make it to Hulen a little earlier than expected, so Iā€™ll post another update once we get closer to LBK.

We canā€™t wait to meet everyone and get these shelves into their new homes! šŸ ā¤ļø

Touch-up paint cups are ready. Shelves are getting prepped for transport. My anxiety has been temporarily appeased.

Tomorrow we load them into the trailer, and Friday these babies are headed to Lubbock!!! ā¤ļøšŸ–¤

Could something still go wrong? Sure.
Have I prepared for 83% of the imaginary scenarios? Also yes. šŸ¤£
