Well, it's safe to say we had a great weekend at New Castle last weekend for the inaugural race of the Apex Karting Championships Midwest Series.

Remy fought hard to gain speed all weekend and finally was there when it counted to win the 206 final! Pulling double duty, he then went on to podium in Swift, bringing home a hotly contested 3rd place behind James Fox and Kip Knaus - two juggernauts of the class.

Jude killed it all weekend too holding mid-pack positions against fierce competition. He fell back to 9th in the waning laps of the final, but it was a weekend to be proud of regardless.

Of course, it takes a team and then some to lock down wins at this level, so we have some people to thank:

First off - BOSS Pro-Karting and Ringler Racing for the support to get here, Steve Boss and Scott Weeks for a BUSY weekend of wrenching and kart setup (and providing comedic relief for the weekend), and lastly Mike Giessen for a bit of advice when we were stumped by a tuning issue.

There's so much more to a weekend at the track than just racing, but damn... a win always feels good!

This weekend the BOSS Pro-Karting team is headed to the heart of karting in the Midwest, New Castle Motorsports Park, for round 1 of the Apex Karting Championships Midwest series.

Jude and Remy will be competing in Briggs Micro, and Remy will be pulling double duty racing Micro Swift as well. It's going to be a great weekend racing with friends and breaking out Pops' RV for the first time this season! Thank you Steve Boss!

The BOSS Pro-Karting team had a good weekend at Quaker City Karting last week. Nothing too spectacular for finishes, but both boys did some great driving on another wet/dry day.

Remy was having a heroic pre-final in 206, charging up through the pack and challenging for 3rd when he dipped a wheel off, spun, and finished in the back. Starting 14th, Remy drove a great race up to 7th before running out of time and speed to chase down the top 6.

Jude kept getting faster and faster all day, learning when to trust and not trust a partially wet track with no DNFs all day! He drove a solid final, winding up 13th out of 17. A great day as he gets used to the bigger/faster Cadet class karts!

In Mini Swift, Remy attempted some more grass mowing and got stuck for part of the race, finishing at the tail of the final - we had a blast racing with some other Mini Swift friends rounding us out to a 4 kart field.

Fresh off of a WIN last weekend at G&J Kartway in Mini Swift and a 4th out of 15 karts in 206, we're heading to Quaker City Karting for the first round of the Quaker City Karting Series this Saturday. Remy is on a hot streak, and Jude has been making HUGE strides early in the season adjusting to the Cadet class and racing with "the big boys".

This will be the 2nd new track for the boys this year and we're excited to finally be heading over to Quaker to race!

Heading to G & J Kartway Sunday for our first Nomad Tour race with some of our friends from the Buckeye Karting Series . Excited to finally get some laps on the newly repaved G&J and get some good racing in!

WOW. What a weekend. What a track! We had the luxury of some additional help this weekend with Scott Weeks on wrenche...

WOW. What a weekend. What a track! We had the luxury of some additional help this weekend with Scott Weeks on wrenches and we were STILL running around from green to checkers all weekend.

The boys drove great, with Remy bringing home a 2nd in 206 Micro and 5th in Micro Swift. I thought Jude had zero chance of being competitive in a new kart, new class, and new track - but by the end of the weekend he was within a couple seconds a lap of Remy! He finished the day 7th, fighting for 6th which was well beyond what we were aiming for.

This was our first Apex Karting Championships race and we had a ball, I can't wait to get the kids out with this crew on some tracks they've seen before. What an awesome way to kick off the 2026 season!
