We are really excited to be partnering with Hudson Taconic Lands and the Saratoga Mountain Bike Association to help maintain and continue development of the mountain bike trails at the Poestenkill Community Forest. It is amazing to have trails nearby that we can call our own. This past Sat, three Redtails riders and several coaches finished cleaning up Down Payment and Final Payment, giving us a great loop to build our mtb skills. The best part was testing our work with a quick ride! This is such a great opportunity for our riders to learn about trail maintenance.

The Rensselaer Redtails team is open to all 5th-12th graders in Rensselaer Co. and surrounding areas. We are a National Interscholastic Cycling Association sanctioned team, competing in the New York league. No experience is required to join!!!

The Rensselaer Redtails is a youth mountain bike club for kids in grades 5-12. No experience is necessary to join! We are based out of the SHAC Community Center in Averill Park and part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Join our mailing list at the link below to get information on our upcoming spring season. We start indoor spin classes in Feb to prepare for our race season from April to June.
