During this period of Isolation, Dance becomes a vital artform; to release our anxieties, open our spirits, and connect to others. She is a certified Martha Graham Teacher, supported and funded by the Gregory Peck Foundation? saltmarsh studied under the direction of Martha Graham, Pearl Lang, Ethel Winter, David Hochoy, Yuriko, Peggy Lyman, and Diane Gray. She has performed with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Dallas Black Dance Theater, San Francisco Opera Ballet, and Labayen Dance. Performing, Choreographing and teaching for Douglas Anderson SOTA, La Villa, San Francisco SOTA, Martha Graham School NYC DBDT, Lines Ballet, Marin Ballet, Youth America Grande Prix and University in Lisbon, Portugal over the last 27 years. Saltmarsh formed Saltmarsh Dance in 1999, in San Francisco as a means to continue to build her choreography. She has choreographed for Martha Graham School, Marin Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theater, San Francisco SOTA, SF Fringe Festival, Women’s Work and Douglas Anderson SOTA, La Villa SOTA, The Florida Ballet, Jacksonville University, IRCC, Chocolate Nutcracker, and YAGP. Project Sky Dancing was presented April 2013 at One Spark, Jacksonville, Fl. Saltmarsh sat on the board of cultural fusion, and current Board-member for the Community Nutcracker. So much has choreographed countless ballets over the last 30 years and taught numerous students that have gone on to professional careers. Miss Saltmarsh is the directors of a conservatory dance school SaltmarshDance and Jacksonville and historical San Marco. She donates her time to the community Nutcracker of Jacksonville as a guest choreographer, to help create awareness for organization such as “Angels for Allison” and using Art of dance as a healing and holistic approach to healthy body through adult ballet.
