REAL FIT provides comprehensive services, tools and data to help individuals and organizations measure, assess and monitor fitness performance. Guinness World Records certified 62-year-old George Hood's Feb. 15 planking record in Illinois. The official time: 8 hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds.

Less manual labor may be why today's young adults have weaker grips than their counterparts did 30 years ago. The change augurs limper handshakes and fewer opened jars for 20-somethings.

If you dread doing burpees, this stat might make you blanch: A Melbourne, Australia, woman on Sunday set a world record for the most burpees done in 60 minutes by a female at 1,490, topping the previous record of 1,321. Except the internet is freaking out a bit over whether they were really burpees....
