As I step away from coaching these incredible young women, my heart is full.
Looking at where each of them is headed next season is something my assistant coaches, Matt and Lou, and I couldn’t be more proud of. These aren’t just great softball organizations—they’re opportunities these athletes earned through years of hard work, resilience, and growth.
What makes me proudest isn’t the new logos next to their names. It’s watching them step out of their comfort zones, advocate for themselves, trust the process, and find the place that best fits their goals of playing at the next level.
For years, we’ve worked to build more than softball players. We’ve worked to build confident, accountable, resilient young women. Seeing them spread their wings is confirmation that the foundation we built together was strong.
This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be in the stands, cheering just as loudly—sometimes from another state or even another country—but always their coach at heart.
To each of their new coaches and organizations: thank you for believing in these athletes and giving them the opportunity to continue chasing their dreams. You’re getting not only talented softball players, but exceptional young women with tremendous character, work ethic, and hearts for their teammates. Please take good care of them—they’ve certainly earned it.
To Anna, Avery, Bella, Danika, Esha, Giulia, Hazel, Jillian, McKenna, Mollie, and Savannah… thank you for trusting us with part of your journey. The next chapter starts today, and I cannot wait to watch you write it.
Signing out, one last time.
