Veralrud Racing Follow the Four generations of Veralruds in their racing career, along with additional information about sponsors and racing results.

My name is Austin Veralrud and I am a third generation Veralrud Racer. After growing up at the track watching my dad Kevin and uncle Tim race at their local track of Red River Valley Speedway it only made sense to get behind the wheel. In 2007 I started my racing career in go-carts at BRRP in Glyndon, MN where I placed third in points, and second in points at a indoor track in Staples MN. In 2013

I decided to get back into racing in the Hornet 4 cylinder class at BRRP and I-94 Speedway in Fergus falls, MN. 2013 was a fun and learning experience finishing the season with multiple top five finishes and heat wins. This year I am taking the next step by moving up a class to the Pure Stocks with my 1973 Chevelle race chassis. Well just like that our summer is flying by. The kids have been asking me to get their karts out and with us always on the run we finally made it for their last night. They did great after getting some seat time. Layne picked up some speed and had fun. Luke surprised us all and was really flying! Unfortunately he caused a caution and had to go tail end but still finished third and had the fastest lap time in his class.

Big shoutout to the The Cormorant Store, I would be lost without this place!  With the constant running and racing I am so grateful to have the Cormorant store close to home for literally anything we need from groceries, to diesel, gas, hardware store, snacks, bait etc you name it they got it! If you’ve never been here stop in and see the great staff at the Cormorant Store. Our car will also be on display on the 15th during Cormorant days. Come on out and say hi.
