🏆 Tournament Champions: Wetumpka Looney Tunes Showdown

The team had a perfect 4-0 record and bringing home the championship trophy!

⚾ Tournament Recap:
• Pool Play: Secured a 10-6 win over the Tribe Boys and a gritty 6-5 victory against the Local Boys.
• Bracket Play: Advanced to the finals after a solid 9-4 win over the Troy Warriors.
• Championship: In a rematch against the Tribe Boys, the team locked it down for a 7-2 victory to claim the title.

⭐ Top Performers
• Cam Hill (Tournament MVP): Delivered a legendary performance in the championship game, throwing a no-hitter to seal the win.

• Offensive Leaders: Cade Ingram and JT Brown were unstoppable at the plate, both carrying a .600 batting average throughout the tournament.

⚾️ Weekend Recap: Grand Slam Tournament | Calera, AL

Despite an 0-2 start in pool play, the team battled back with three straight wins as a low seed. After a massive 9-run comeback in the semifinals, we fought our way into the Championship game and finished Runner-Up!

⭐️ Tournament Recap:
• Game 1: W 19-0 vs. 35173 Baseball
• Game 2: W 7-6 vs. #1 Seed Coosa River Rockies (Comeback win from a loss in pool play)
• Semi-Final: W 12-10 vs. AL Hotshots (Trailed 0-9, rallied for the win)
• Championship: L 7-3 vs. Prattville Select

⭐️ On the Mound:
• Mason Hood: Set the tone with a complete-game shutout in the bracket opener only allowing 1-hit & giving up one walk.
• Tristyn Rodriguez: Shut the door on the Coosa River Rockies and AL Hotshots, allowing only 1 ER, 3 hits and giving up 2 walks across both appearances.

⭐️ At the Plate:
We had a strong weekend at the plate with 6 total Home Runs:
• Weston Grant: 2 HR
• Cam Hill: 2 HR
• Jett Golden: 1 HR
• Tristyn Rodriguez: 1 HR
• Easton Rodgers: Led the team at the plate with 7 hits, 4 walks and crossing home plate 8 times.

We are so proud of this team’s grit this weekend! After some tough early losses, the boys fought back to reach the Championship game and finished as Tournament Runner-Up!
