GU has risen once again, this time resurrected for the purpose of prison reform. Back in 2019, GU traveled to San Quentin Prison in Sunny California to participate in the prison ministry. We have been invited back out to California once again to play in a double header game, on Sat August 25th and Sun August 26th.
In this trip, we are looking to add 5 more bodies to our roster to ensure that we have adequate numbers for the 2 day event. Participants must be able to pass a prison background security clearance, and accommodate your travel to and from California. For those interested, please reach out to Patrick Henderson directly for more information. Rosters must be locked by May 1st, as the process to gain clearance into the prison is quite lengthy.
The last time that we did this, it was an experience not only for the inmates, but for the players as well.
