You never really know what someone is carrying behind the smiles, the posts, and the moments they choose to share.

Sometimes the very content you see — the joy, the solo dates, the reminders to keep living — is coming from a place of healing, prayer, and quiet strength.

Last week was , and Christian and I felt led to open up about a part of our story we’ve been walking through privately for the past few years.

Not for sympathy.
But for connection.

And for the woman who may be hurting silently while still showing up every day.

We shared more on our podcast after a long hiatus.

This conversation is one of the most personal we’ve ever had (and trust it was VERY hard to put our business out as I’m a pretty private person).

Nevertheless, a number of women have reached out to me and thanked us for releasing this episode as they too are on this journey and for that, I thank you for reminding me that we are not alone.

My God has told me “well done” for being obedient to releasing this episode despite my strong hesitancy to do so and I can rest in knowing that He is proud 🥹

I’m still on a high from yesterday’s meet up 🥹

Yesterday was proof that choosing yourself changes everything — and our first Solo Date Scavenger Hunt was just the beginning. ✨

9 women showed up and said yes to choosing themselves.
And that alone felt powerful. đź’›

Connections were made.
Women encouraged other women.
And together, we took brave steps outside of our comfort zones — one stop at a time.

We indulged in ice cream at without guilt (because joy is allowed).

We walked into and picked something that made us feel confident.

We supported a Black-owned candle shop and found a scent that felt like rest.

We stepped into .usa and reconnected with childhood joy.

And we ended with brunch at , continuing conversations and building real connections.

The weather was perfect.
The vibes were there.
And the experience was everything I prayed it would be and more!

This wasn’t just a meetup.
It was a reminder that choosing yourself can be joyful, healing, and a lot of fun.

Cheers to more experiences and I can’t wait to start planning the next meetup. 🥂

There was a time when I thought being a good wife meant giving everything to my marriage and leaving nothing for myself.

I showed up. I supported. I loved hard.

But I was tired… and slowly losing pieces of me along the way.

And the truth is — when you lose yourself, your marriage feels it too.

Solo dates didn’t pull me away from my husband.

They helped me come back to him more present. More joyful. More like myself.

Because a healthy marriage isn’t built on exhaustion.

It’s built on two whole people choosing each other — again and again.

Allow me to reintroduce myself — because I’m not the same woman I used to be.

I used to pour into everyone else… until I learned my cup had to overflow first.

For years, I thought being a good wife, a good woman, and a good helper meant giving everyone my last drop.

Saying yes when I was tired. Showing up when I needed rest. Putting myself on the back burner.

Then my therapist told me something that shifted everything:

Your cup needs to be overflowing — and only from that overflow can you truly pour into others.

That lesson led me here.

✨ To solo dates.
✨ To finding joy in the little things.
✨ To blooming into the woman I’m becoming — unapologetically.

So if you’re new here, hi — I’m Mi’esha.

A school counselor by day, karaoke queen by night, recovering people pleaser, and a woman who is learning to choose herself on purpose.

I’ve been happily married for almost 9 years, and I still date myself.

Not because anything is wrong… but because I deserve joy, rest, and time with me too.

This week felt gentle.

Not perfect. Not dramatic. Just intentional in quiet ways.

I’m learning that softness doesn’t always look like big resets or grand gestures. Sometimes it’s reading a few pages before bed. Showing up for your body again. Getting dressed with care. Keeping small promises to yourself.

There’s something sweet about returning to yourself slowly.

About choosing beauty.

Choosing movement.

Choosing presence.
Not because everything is fixed — but because you’re worth the effort.

I’m realizing that when I take care of the little things, I feel more like me. And when I feel like me, everything else flows better.
