Let's start the week off with Scripture!

In today's verse, we are challenged to love one another as it covers a multitude of sins. We are not just called to love, but to be unfailing in our love. Sometimes love looks like kindness, grace, forgiveness, and mercy. Sometimes, love is being honest with someone. Sometimes love is holding on to hope when no one else is there. Love is showing up day after day, without being thanked or acknowledged. Love is bigger and more powerful than our human brains can fathom. We cannot truly love without the help of the Father for he shows us what perfect love truly is in his Son.

Eye focus is just as important, if not more, than everything else we do when we dance! Our eyes can help create the illusion of floating/flying/soaring. They can also relay emotion more than any other movement of our body. Proper eye focus takes practice and intention. Be sure when you dance, you use your eyes!

Ballet is about defying gravity. How high can you jump? Can you move across the floor and appear to be floating? This is done with much practice in proper body alignment and technique. It takes years of practice to create and maintain the illusion!

Let's start the week off with Scripture!

In today's verse, we are given a beautiful promise! God asks that we turn to Him, keep our mind on Him, and trust Him. When these actions become habits, we are promised peace! May your eyes stay focused on Him, may our thoughts turn to Him, and may our trust deepen in the One who is perfect peace.

There are many special phrases/words used in ballet to describe the style or type of dance being performed. The phrase 'Pas de Deux' translates to 'a step of two' meaning it is a duet between two dancers! This often features lifts, partnering, and steps performed in unison.
