Well guys, summer is here 🎉☀️🎣
I will be giving lessons or any fishing related teachings starting this Sunday!!!
With my schedule and covid-19 I was unable to do so the past winter/spring.
Here is some helpful information for new comers interested in learning more about fishing and what services we provide:
COMMON FISH WE MAY CATCH:
BLUEGILL aka BREAM
Are going to start gathering in large numbers around the next full moon. They get very aggressive and usually all gather in one area of the pond or body of water. This is perfect for people new to fishing and want to catch large numbers, plus it is also a ton of fun! They are super easy to catch on a simple cork bobber and small tackle, this is the best method for success.
BASS
Typically Largemouth bass, are harder to catch for a beginner that wants to get a feel for fishing. It is harder but more rewarding on the size end of the spectrum ie bass are much larger than bluegill. Early morning before the sun is high or late afternoon will be the preferred time to target bass. Some of my bigger bass I have caught have actually been at night. There are various baits and ways to rig tackle based on season, weather, water condition/clarity and therefore makes fishing for Bass more challenging than bluegill, many more factors taken into account for bass fishing.
ABOUT LESSONS:
I provide all the rods, reels and tackle needed. If you have rods and reels of your own that you would like to use or would like me to rig your rod for you with correct line I will gladly do so. Having the correct tackle for the species being caught makes a significant difference! I am currently only holding private lessons or small groups from within the same family, we want to still be cautious and stay healthy while learning and teaching the art of fishing.
LOCATIONS:
I know a couple of places that are really good right now and I have caught some nice sized ones and numbers of them around late afternoon or early evening. Typically 2-2.5lbs average but a surprise 5+ lbs fish is very possible locally depending on what body of water and time of day you choose.
Usually I vary between 3-4 different locations in Newnan, Peachtree City and Senoia. If you have a body of water you would like to use for private lessons please let me know so I can make arrangements or look into fishing the water or if you have a preference between the three cities listed above. If you are having a hard time catching fish at your local water, I can teach ways to locate and catch fish for you to have success in the future all based on your location.
QUESTIONS:
Any Questions about setting up a private lesson, advice on tackle selection or just wanting to catch fish contact me a few days in advance of the date you are wanting and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
