A proposed new DFCS complex in Coweta County is moving forward after the Coweta County Hospital Authority approved preliminary steps tied to the project.

Officials say the new facility could eventually house DFCS, aging services and child support services together on Hospital Road near the Health Department. The project has reportedly been in discussion for several years and would replace the county’s aging DFCS building.

County commissioners will still need to formally approve the project before plans are finalized.

The New Newnan High School is fabulous. 1000s showed up for the Open House festivities. Newnan is a special place with people that love big. I am thankful for all the time and efforts that were put into such a fabulous facilities. 2024 at Newnan High School is going to be a great year with new beginnings and tradition.
