Important Notice Regarding YMCA Youth Sports
The YMCA of Metro Atlanta has been actively monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and the impact of the epidemic in the communities we serve. We are implementing proactive measures at all Y facilities to limit exposure and maintain a safe environment, including additional deep cleaning and sanitation measures, postponing large events, and increasing communications efforts to keep our members informed and up-to-date.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are suspending all YMCA youth sports practices and games effective immediately through Monday, March 30, 2020. At that time, we will reassess the environment and determine next steps. (Georgia Soccer has suspended all play in sanctioned activities through April 30, 2020, but will reassess as needed).
At this time, YMCA branches remain open. However, we are following the guidance of the Department of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control and area school systems, as the well-being of our members, participants, staff and their families remains our top priority.
