I had a great time with Veronica on our Behind The Veil session.
She shared how she experienced culture shock right after getting married. She shed some light that two people can be of the same culture, race, ethnicity and the value system can still be night and day. So much nuggets and enlightening information shared with us, you definitely want to listen.

Part 2 of my conversation with Valerie Stancill aka "Lady V" on Behind The Veil was nothing short of informative, enlightening, and insightful as she shared more about transitioning into the role of first lady and learning how to find her own footing within the church organization that she serves alongside her husband.
Learning new communication style or techniques so that she commands the respect of the members of his church while maintaining her own identity. The hardest was to control the tongue and deciphering how to speak, when to speak and when to keep a closed mouth.

Valerie Stancill Garrett graced us with her presence on Behind The Veil and it was a refreshing conversation as she shared her journey on making the adjustments to being a First Lady after marrying a bishop.

It was an insightful and mind shifting discussion that made me think about some challenges that I never would imagine takes place in such a spectacular transition.

Another beautiful conversation with Genisha Morton on Behind The Veil as we delved even more into the red flags, questions that would help in the dating process.

We looked at the beautiful pieces of her past relationship despite the fact that it did not end in marriage. Identifying qualities in a person who is no longer a partner can be difficult, but there is good and bad in all of us and this was a great example. She also shared some of her own issues that contributed to the relationship not being successful, like insecurity, self sabotaging ways, etc.

This was quite another interesting conversation on Behind The Veil with Genisha as she shared about her 2 engagements that ended before getting married. One of her fiancé disappeared after she got pregnant and she eventually found out she was having twins. He was also married and was separated, not divorced when he proposed to her.
So much more on the dating and red flags that were ignored in this conversation.

This was another Mind Glowing conversation with Markeyla Henton as she talked about physical and spiritual covering, as well as the disappointment she feels observing women who have shrunk from becoming who God intended for them to be under the heading of submission and putting our spouses in a place they do not belong which leads to operating in idolatry.

I had an awesome time with my sister-friend Sandra McDowell-Kessler on this session on Behind The Veil. A Ted-X speaker, Confidence Coach, Teacher.

She has been married multiple times and she shared from this seat of wisdom of what she has learned and the different experiences in each marriage.

Unconditional love in marriage was the highlight of the conversation, learning to love someone even when they do things that you don't like.
