When people hear the word “strength”, they often imagine heavy weights and intense workouts. But everyday strength that supports your joints can be much more modest. It is the ability to carry groceries without feeling overloaded, to climb stairs without holding your breath, or to lift something from the floor with control instead of rushing. Building this kind of strength does not require a gym membership.
You can use your own body weight and daily situations as training. Practice bending your knees and hips when picking something up, instead of rounding your back. Try standing up from a chair a few times in a row at a comfortable pace. These simple actions help train the muscles that share the load with your joints. Over time, this can make movement feel more stable and secure.
