FIFA is trying to crack down on “tactical timeouts”. It is widely known that goalkeepers have been faking injuries to give their teams a chance to reset and get coaching when things are not going their way on the pitch.

What do you think about this change?

I challenge all Americans to show the world what we are really about!

Welcome people from all nations with open arms. Make some new friends. Learn some words in a new language. Show them something great about your city!

The World Cup is the one thing the unites everyone from around the world. Everyone will be watching how we handle it. Let’s show them what being American is all about. The American we all know and love.

Please share and spread the challenge.

The tournament has some unique and unusual rules of competition. For one, Goalkeepers can score into the opponents net via a throw from their own Penalty Area.

In traditional club matches under IFAB or NCAA / NFHS, you can’t score in your opponents goal at anytime. Even via a Goalkeeper from their own Penalty Area.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Have this ever happened in one of your games?

I’ve kicked out numerous parents for this. If you insult, demean, attempt to intimidate or otherwise engage in negative behavior towards a player on the field at a youth sporting event, you have forfeited your spectator privileges for the day.

Additionally, this is normally the precursor to a parent brawl. I’ve seen it numerous times. This immediately becomes a serious security concern for everyone at the event.

Refs, if you hear anything or even have it reported to you, bring it to the attention of the coaches immediately. Sometimes a warning from the coach could put the issue to bed. Sometimes, the words are so vile and unacceptable that a dismissal is the only option.

In my opinion, this is a great call.

The first thing I was looking for was seeing if the ball hit the goalkeeper‘s arm as it was supporting his body weight between his torso and the ground. The goalkeeper actually uses a secondary deliberate action to take his hand up off the ground and stop the ball from rolling by him. This is a handling offense just outside of the penalty area. All four of our DOGSO conditions are met.

Therefore, it is a red card offense, the keeper is sent off and we restart with a direct free kick. Great job ref!!! 👏
