Hey Tennis Fans!
Professional tennis returns to Atlanta -Kind of! It's a different format and it's exciting, fun and loud. We went last weekend and had a blast. It's called Tennis Turned Up for a reason. Fans are encouraged to yell, scream, clap and make noise. There was a cow bell, tambering and clapper at our table when we arrived. There was music played the entire time. What a blast!
The format is made up of three 30 minute sessions. Each session is divided into 10 minute battles called BOLTS. During the bolts teams can swap players and take time outs. They play one toss one serve. Let's are also played. One point is scored per shot but a clear winner earns two points. Untraditional scoring but keeps it interesting.
The three sessions consist of - Men's Singles, Women's Singles and the third session is divided into Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles. The event lasted a little over two hours.
There is a great view from every seat. No matter where you sit you'll feel like you're part of the action.You can grab a cocktail at the bar and the Intennse Margarita had a nice spice with the floating jalapeños. The Dark Run Bolt was another favorite. They served a few more speciality drinks and a small selection of beer and wine. They offered limited food items, snacks and popcorn. Parking is free and a short walk to the venue. The venue is a movie studio that is converted into an indoor tennis court.
Matches are played every Saturday and Sunday through August 10, 2025.
