Today, our hearts are soaring right alongside our daughter, Sanaa. Watching her step boldly into her aviation flight training journey has been nothing short of breathtaking. From dreaming about the skies to actually navigating them, she is turning her passion into purpose right before our eyes. 💙

There have been early mornings, long study sessions, moments of challenge, and moments of triumph and through it all, she has shown resilience, discipline, and unwavering determination. As parents, we understand the courage it takes to chase something this big, and we feel every bit of the effort, the nerves, and the excitement with her. 🥹

We are so proud to share that Sanaa has chosen Willa Beatrice Brown as her inspirational leader for her Black History Project! 🖤✨

Just like Willa Beatrice Brown, who made history as a trailblazer in aviation and served in the Civil Air Patrol, Sanaa is blazing her own path. Sanaa is a Cadet Senior Airman in the Civil Air Patrol 🛩️, following in the footsteps of a remarkable woman she deeply relates to and admires.

What makes this even more special? 🎯 Sanaa is currently working toward obtaining her private pilot’s license, dreaming sky-high and grounded in determination, courage, and passion! 🚀💫

Willa Beatrice Brown shattered barriers in aviation and opened doors for future generations. Sanaa’s project celebrates her legacy and highlights how history continues to inspire today’s young leaders. 📚🛫

🚀🌟 We are so proud to announce that Tyler chose Robert Henry Lawrence Jr. as his inspirational leader for his Black History project! 🌍📚

Tyler’s dream is to build satellites 🛰 and launch them into space, so it was important for him to highlight a Black pioneer in aerospace who truly resonates with his goals.

Robert Henry Lawrence Jr., the first African American astronaut selected by NASA, has inspired Tyler to reach for the stars literally! 🌌✨

📖 Tyler has been learning all about Dr. Lawrence’s legacy and how his courage and brilliance helped pave the way for future generations in science and space exploration. 🔭👨🏾‍🚀

🎄🚇 Last Ride of the Season 🚇🎄

We did something truly special… we rode the VERY LAST Christmas 2025 NYC Holiday Nostalgia Train 🥹✨

Stepping onto those vintage subway cars felt like time travel. The sounds, the details, the history, the joy on the kids’ faces… pure NYC magic. 🚃❤️ Moments like this remind me why we choose experiences over routines and memories over schedules.

We wrapped the day at Rockefeller Center, soaking in the lights, the energy, and that unmistakable holiday glow 🌟🎄 Standing there together, surrounded by millions of twinkling lights, felt like the perfect closing chapter to the season.
Grateful for family, for adventure, and for saying yes to moments that become memories.

Recap of our ⚖️ Junior Justice Courtroom Tour ⚖️

Our Epic scholars enjoyed a guided tour of the Georgia Supreme Court, followed by an exciting Mock Trial Experience conducted by them!

📚 Our Homeschool Students:
✨ Learned about the judicial branch & Georgia’s court system
✨ Discovered the difference between trial & appellate courts
✨ Explored the role of Justices and how they’re selected
✨ Stepped into action as Justices, attorneys, and clerks in a mock oral argument.

This was a unique chance for our students to see the law in action and experience the courtroom like never before! 🏛️ This is how we homeschool 🚀!

❤️🐾 A week ago, we said goodbye to our beloved 4-legged best friend, Oreo. The house hasn’t felt the same without his playful energy, loving eyes, and comforting presence. TJ lovingly took Oreo to Banfield for cremation, and we’ve been quietly waiting for the call to bring him back home. 💔🌈

Then something unexpected happened…

On Wednesday, July 30th, Tremayne made a quick trip to Walmart to grab a few things. Out front was a family with two boxes of puppies, giving them away because their landlord wouldn’t allow them to stay. And just like that — a divine moment happened. 🐶✨

Meet OJ — the newest member of the Slaton family! ❤️❗️OJ is a beautiful blend of our past and our present. He has Angel’s build and Oreo’s colors — a perfect little reminder that love never truly leaves us, it just transforms. 🐾🕊

And here’s the part that gave us chills… As Tremayne walked back to his truck with the puppy, a group of teenagers saw him and yelled out, “You should name him Oreo!” Tremayne smiled and said, “We already had an Oreo.” ❤️😭

Life has a beautiful, mysterious way of reminding us that love shows up right when we need it most. Welcome home, OJ. 🏡🐾💖

🎉 Sanaa earned this incredible opportunity through a prestigious scholarship sponsored by Delta Air Lines — and she is making her mark as a rising star in aviation! 🚁👩🏾‍✈️💫

👏🏾 Watching Sanaa chase and achieve her ambitious goals has been nothing short of inspiring. From cockpits to classrooms, she continues to break barriers and shine bright as a future aviator. 🌟

🎖 As her mother, I am deeply honored to witness her journey and support her every step of the way.
