When I started my journey 5 years ago I was in a very dark place all due to my appearance.

I hated taking my shirt off at the pool, and I didn’t even show up for big events that were happening in my life. At the time I did not have an idea of which way to turn to finally turn my life around.

Looking back on those very dark moments in my life I finally understand that; yes I was in a dark place, but there was always a wee bit of light inside of me, and all I had to do was unleash it to finally find my true self.

Here’s the truth about getting in shape:

This s**t is not easy.

It’s a reality that almost nobody wants to talk about.

I started my fitness journey 5 years ago and I still struggle with my image.

The one component that changed was my mindset. For so long I believed the story I was telling my mind about me being fat and not good enough to where I just felt bad for myself and kept doing what I was doing and hoping for a change.

The mind believes anything you tell it cause it’s doesn’t know any better.
