Grown-Up Swimming Nashville Grown-Up Swimming Nashville is a goofy swim league for folks 19 and over who want to have a laid-bac Ahh, the glory days. What happened to those fun times? Age.

Remember summer league swimming when you were a kid? Swimming 25s without a care in the world except for the mystery flavored Airhead that awaited you at the end of the race and Fun Friday at the end of the week. Age happened. It started when you turned 11, and those 25s were taken away from you for the rest of time. You had to swim 50s, 100s, and eventually even 200s. Now, you're on the tail end

of your swimming career or even working in one of those "grown-up" careers. Well, welcome to Grown-Up Swimming! Get back to swimming 25s; be sure to Bring Your Own Mystery Flavored Airheads. There's a good chance that you're reading this having never felt that oddly specific coming-of-age tragedy, and that's totally fine. Maybe you're here because you've always wanted to swim but thought it was too intimidating. Maybe you're here because now is the time to lose a few pounds. Or maybe, you've always been really active, but man, your knees can't take pickup basketball any more. Grown-Up Swimming is perfect for you too. Grown-Up Swimming started in Atlanta, GA with a group of teams that wanted to have as much fun swimming as their kids have in summer league.That movement has grown-up (we won't apologize for that pun) to provide a low-pressure, high-fun swimming environment for hundreds of people of all ages and abilities. Literally: start swimming for the first time since college or high school, swim competitively for the first time ever, or take a break from your 6,000 yard Masters workouts to have some fun. Example swim meet formats:
Sprint Meet - The blazing fast 25s will give you a chance to get back to your 10 & under days with some short races! Traditional Meet - After warming up with the 25s, we will get back to the basics and swim the events and distances you have come to know and love at a swim meet. Distance Meet - The distance meet features 100’s of stroke events and the IM for those of us who love to play wall tag. Don’t worry though, we’ll be running 25’s in this meet too this year! Olympic Meet - Cue the fanfare! We partake in Olympic festivities in our own special way even in off years by swimming long course meters! We will stick to 50s (one lap) with the exception of a 100m (two laps) freestyle.

Voting for our All-Star T-Shirt design contest ends this Friday, the 22nd at 11:59 pm! The 4 designs to chose from are the designs in this post! The design chosen will be on the back of the t-shirt!

We are so excited for our 2023 All-Star meet! Here are some details you should know:
-Registration and entries are open!
-When?: Sunday October 8th, warm ups at 3pm, meet will start at 4!
-Where?: Island Rec Center, Hilton Head Island, SC
-Festivities!!!: We’ll do get togethers Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday to welcome people into town we will have a happy hour at 6:30 at a rooftop bar! Sunday we will have an after party after our meet, at 6:30 at Skull Creek!

We can’t wait to see everyone there and have an amazing time at the beach!
