What is the secret to adapt a healthy lifestyle? Discipline.
Start by setting small objectives, for example it can be something like walking 10 minutes after having lunch, five days a week. Regardless if you are motivated or not, be disciplined and consistent with your objective until it becomes a habit. Once you have been consistent for some time, progress to something a bit more challenging, for example 10 minutes walk + 10 minutes bodyweight training routine. Be persistent until these small changes become habits and eventually they become part of your lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle is determined by the choices and the actions you do on a daily basis, so every action counts, even if it is a 10 minute walk!

Here I share with you my six favourite Bodyweight Strength Training exercises for beginners. Note that these exercises may not be specific for you depending on your physical condition or medical situation. This routine can be done circuit style, I recommend between 2 to 4 sets, 8- 12 repetitions per exercise.

Beginner Bodyweight Strength Training
2-3 sets, 8 -12 reps/ exercise
1. Bodyweight Squats
2. Knee Push-Ups
3. Alternating Lunges
4. Bird Dog
5. Glute Bridge
6. Heels Taps

Amazing full body workout using one piece of equipment: the Slam Ball.
Aside from working functional movement, the Slam Ball is an incredible tool to train power and explosiveness, a skill essential in most sports. The more low intensity repetitions you do (12 rep or more), the more you will work endurance. The less high intensity repetitions you do (4 to 8 reps), the more you will work power and explosiveness. The key on working power and explosiveness it is the HIGH INTENSITY of speed and strength simultaneously used in every movement! 💥💪🏋‍♀️

I love using the BOSU whenever I want to take a rest from heavy lifting. This piece of equipment is perfect since it is easy on the joints but challenging to train with!
BOSU stands for "both sides up." On each side a variety of exercises can be done to improve your balance, stability and propioceptive skills.
Fun note, whenever you are working on a unstable surface your core muscle are being highly engaged to stabilize your body.

The Battle Rope is an excellent piece of equipment used to enhance your muscular endurance and to do full-body exercises. The most popular exercise is the Battle Rope Snakes (or Battle Rope Waves), which consists on holding an athletic stance while using your arms to create "snakes" with the rope.
Here are some BR exercises that will challenge your routine:
1. BR Slams

4. BR Snakes + Reverse Lunges
