We're thrilled to showcase some of the amazing artwork submitted to Athens Pro Hockey during our recent contest—each piece reflects incredible vision, inspiration, and a significant investment of time, energy, and creativity.

We are deeply honored by the community's feedback, commitment, and dedication, and we're excited to announce that even if your design isn't chosen, we'll host a special theme night during the 2024-2025 season, featuring a limited-edition jersey with a dye-sublimation print of all the submitted artwork to honor the amazing artists who shared their talent with us.

Don't forget to TUNE IN on May 15th at 12pm EST to listen, learn, and see our brand reveal happening right on Facebook LIVE! We are excited to count the final votes on May 13th and have 48 hours to annouce the team name!

It was awesome meeting our friends of Athens Pro Hockey today for a tour of the new Classic Center Arena, home of the Rock Lobsters. We can make Rock Lobsters happen with our votes!!!

Athens Pro Hockey wants us to keep showing them how much support we have for the Rock Lobsters. Keep voting Athens!

In the past two weeks, we've seen an incredible influx of support from the community, partners, fans, and even local musicians and artists from around Athens, GA, all contributing to our naming process. With the overwhelming response, including double entries and feedback, the vote has narrowed to within a margin of just 3%. As we are in such a narrow window, we are going to have a final voting on the top two names for the hockey team from now until May 13th.

This final round, which will run until May 13th, is designed to capture the true sentiment of our community and ensure the chosen name reflects their voice and the future spirit of our hockey team. We are excited to have this narrowed down to Classic City Panic (in honor of Widespread Panic) 🎇 and the Rock Lobsters (in honor of the B52’s). 🦞
