Childhood Flashback! Wednesday mornings have become my routine deliver time and I often have several little helpers with me. We regularly visit Kindred Market, Hyacinth Bean Florist, Threefold Roasters, Pleasant Hill Vineyards LLC and Seaman's Cardinal Super Market.

It's made me smile because I used to be one of my Dad's little helpers when delivering sweet corn to local grocery stores. I had to take a moment and rummage through some old photos to share with you. So many stops today, and even smells from the grocery stores, brought these images to the forefront.

These stops are not purely business. We're savoring memory making & connection as we go; fostering the beauty in each moment. (Sometimes that's easy and sometimes that's a choice!)Those sweet corn picking and delivery days are beautiful core memories for me. And I also smile because I know so many of you are using our flowers to savor your own moments both happy and sad.

One of my favorite parts about those sweet corn deliveries was getting to pick out a fresh donut from the grocery store bakery. We've decided that we need to add a fun treat like that to our delivery day. Do you have any favorites from the places that we visit that we should try?

P.S I totally forgot that corn was once $1 a dozen. That makes me feel old!

Wedding Series Part 5 - A throwback finale!
5/21/2005 Almost 21 years ago Ryan and I got married DIY style.

Fun Facts about me:
1. I am the oldest of 8 kids.
2. I grew up milking cows on our WI dairy farm
surrounded by a fabulous community of farmers.
3. Every event was a DIY event and included lots
of help from family and friends.

SO, roughly 21 years ago I tried my hand at arranging flowers for the first time with my friends and family for our wedding.

My memories of that evening gathered in my parents farmhouse fill my heart with all sorts of warm and cozy feelings. The guys all chatting in the living room, mom pulling together food, my younger siblings running around, and laughter as the ladies stood around the big farmhouse table as we experimented with arrangements. It's one of my all time favorite memories!

It's a main reason that I love leading people through workshops and helping bring a vision to life for a celebration, milestone, or remembrance. Spending time creating together fosters space for all kinds of conversation and moments that we savor later. Flowers provide all sorts of practical ways to bring both the natural and relational beauty into our daily moments.

Hope you get a smile out of my old photos. 😊

P.S I still have those overalls! They're currently being patched. I can't bring myself to part with them. I was wearing them when Ryan and I first met. And they are super comfy! You may see me were then again in the future. 😁

Wedding Series Part 3!

Seth and Rachael had a dreamy winter wedding. I know the temperatures were super cold, but the snow made for some stunning pictures!

Although I typically arrange with flowers that we grow on our farm, I also have the option to work with a wholesaler. That's the route that we went for this January pink/purple romantic look. It truly was dreamy!

Wedding Series Part 3!

Maddy and Lucas's wedding was bursting with color! Sunflowers, rununculus, hydrangea, campanula, bachelor buttons and more really produced a cheerful display for their celebration.

Maddy loves sunflowers and it was her one flower request for her bouquets and cake. I'd never had sunflowers in bloom by June before, but I enjoyed the learning curve of making that happen. They bloomed the week of the wedding. That was a little nerve wracking but worth it to watch it all come together. Because she requested sunflowers, we all got to enjoy them earlier in the year!

Wedding Series Part 2!

It was a privilege to design for Jessica and Zachary's wildflower floral theme. Every flower used was grown on our farm and it was wonderful to see them as part of this happy day!

In the beginning stages of our conversations, Jessica sent me a picture of her veil, which was embroidered with wildflowers, and she said she would love for her bridal flowers to mimic it. The veil was breathtaking, and I loved putting together the combinations of flowers from our farm to make that vision happen.

If you or a friend is looking for someone to help bring your wedding floral vision to life, send me a message or come see me at the Southeast Ohio Bridal Expo on 2/28 from 1-4pm at The Athens Messenger Event Building in The Plains.

Wedding Series Part 1!

When we made the decision to go for my flower farm dream, I wasn't exactly sure what our focus would be. For the first 2 years we experimented left and right with flower varieties and tried selling in lots different venues. I was nervous about weddings!

But, when I was asked to design and arrange all the wedding florals for family (Jordan & Mckenzie 😊) I jumped in all the way and discovered that I absolutely love this!

J & M made my job pretty easy by giving me a few ideas and then trusting me to run with the vision. They gave me the gift of expanding my skill set & boosting my confidence.

So, here I am today, loving the opportunity to come alongside a bride and bring her vision to life!

I'll be set up at the Southeast Ohio Bridal Expo
(Athens Messenger Events Center, The Plains)
on 2/28 from 1-4 if you'd like to connect with me in person and check out other local vendors that can help make your wedding dreams a reality.

One way to help to make them happen is to have a fantastic photographer like ! All credit goes to her for these amazing photos.
