The twins crawled through the dahlia field today for the first time and loved it! They celebrated turning a month older by exploring all sorts of new textures. I thoroughly enjoy watching them try to understand something new. The tiniest things bring them so much joy! Grabbing at low hanging willow leaves, racing each other to a dried up dahlia flower head, pulling apart a leaf, banging on a watering can, or crawling back and forth over watering lines occupied them for a very long time. I was awarded many smiles even as I pulled several leaves out of their mouths.

I haven't talked about our fostering journey in awhile. The twins have kept us busy! It has been a whirlwind only made possible by so many supportive people. Thank you for your grace and patience in this season. I have not been consistent online, or with my newsletter, or letting you know about workshops in a timely manner. I have taken too long to respond to messages. And yet, you still visit us at the cart and purchase our bouquets from local businesses, and you still reach out for events and special orders. THANK YOU!!!

After 10 days away resting with our family, I was excited to check on all the flowers today. I started harvesting and then got distracted by all the new blooms, and I just ended up walking and admiring for quite some time.

We have our first dahlais, our last sunflowers (sad story on these! Long story short, I lost over 1,000 seeds/seedlings in my attempt to succession plant!), zinnias, lisianthus, eucalyptus and so much more! The garden looks like a jungle in many places and the winds have had fun in other places. Overall, it was good to meet the new blooms and wander my gardens again!

Our cart will be back across from OU Inn on Thursday AND we have a fresh flower workshop with all these beauties the same night Pleasant Hill Vineyards LLC! There's still time to register and take some some of these beauties for your own table.

As we begin to wrap up the summer with an abundance of flowers blooming in our gardens, we want to share a workshop opportunity with you to help you savor beauty, refuel, and lower stress.

It's that time again! Our flower arranging workshops are just around the corner. These evenings always lift my spirits as I watch people connect while creating together! We provide a flower bar, supplies and instruction. Pleasant Hill Vineyards LLC provides light appetizers. It's a lovely evening!

Childhood Flashback! Wednesday mornings have become my routine deliver time and I often have several little helpers with me. We regularly visit Kindred Market, Hyacinth Bean Florist, Threefold Roasters, Pleasant Hill Vineyards LLC and Seaman's Cardinal Super Market.

It's made me smile because I used to be one of my Dad's little helpers when delivering sweet corn to local grocery stores. I had to take a moment and rummage through some old photos to share with you. So many stops today, and even smells from the grocery stores, brought these images to the forefront.

These stops are not purely business. We're savoring memory making & connection as we go; fostering the beauty in each moment. (Sometimes that's easy and sometimes that's a choice!)Those sweet corn picking and delivery days are beautiful core memories for me. And I also smile because I know so many of you are using our flowers to savor your own moments both happy and sad.

One of my favorite parts about those sweet corn deliveries was getting to pick out a fresh donut from the grocery store bakery. We've decided that we need to add a fun treat like that to our delivery day. Do you have any favorites from the places that we visit that we should try?

P.S I totally forgot that corn was once $1 a dozen. That makes me feel old!
