From the desk of the hockey commissioner

Hello folks. I hope this email finds you and your families in good health and spirits. We are certainly frozen in rock solid ice around the region and of course on the rink. We do not yet have a date we will restart, and we continue to work with our friends at the township to help get the rink cleared. That's a huge job that has not been completed as of today. We are hoping for some dialogue from the township, but we have been given no update. Until then, the rinks remain locked until the snow and ice are completely removed. The league and its representatives, members or residents do not have permission to remove the ice and snow at any time. The league is committed to completing the season. We do have some regular games to finish and then right into playoffs. I will release the schedule as soon as I have a restart date. I will keep you posted. Have the best day, Coach Chandler

Thank you all for your participation. After all of your votes have been counted, the Waterford hockey program has a new name. You nominated and voted for the Waterford Wolf Pack. Here is a mockup of a future jersey style, with our new name and moniker.

Well, to say we have been hit by old man winter is a massive understatement. But warmer weather is on the way as we turn towards next week, our first full week of January 2026. We have plenty of hockey remaining as the saying goes. Here is a quick peek on what's happening this week.
We expect the games to resume on Monday January 5th, and we are realigning the game schedule and moving all games to Ritter rink. (There is no power outlet to run the scoreboard, and the surface is missing required face dots at the new Waterford school rink)
Picture Day is Saturday January 10th at the new atco firehouse. Picture & game schedule for 1/10/26 will be in the coaches/parents' hands early this week.

All events planned for this weekend Friday-Sunday have been cancelled due to snow & ice on both rinks. This includes tryouts! We will update midday Monday.
