Thank you WSHP for putting exhibitors and their horses first!

After reviewing the available information and speaking with our judge and participants, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Cowboy Dressage show scheduled for this weekend.

We are deeply disappointed, as we were very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to the park. However, the health and safety of our horses, volunteers, staff, and participants must always come first.

While smoke conditions are expected to improve Saturday and Sunday, there was enough concern about Friday’s conditions and the impact on travel to make cancellation the responsible decision.

The park will remain open to recreational users, and we will also have cross-country schoolers on course Saturday and Sunday. Please give them the right of way and avoid blocking access to the pond and derby area.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing everyone at the park again soon.

Good morning, Cowboy Dressage participants!

We are continuing to monitor the air quality in our area and will make a decision regarding riding conditions for this weekend after we receive tomorrow’s updated air quality forecast.

At this time, the forecast indicates that the wind is expected to shift, bringing improved conditions by Friday with air quality well within safe levels. Of course, as we all know, weather forecasts can change, so we will continue to monitor conditions closely.

If any adjustments to the weekend schedule become necessary, we will notify everyone by email and post updates on our social media channels.

We are hopeful that conditions continue to improve and that we will be able to welcome everyone for a great weekend of Cowboy Dressage. Above all, the health and safety of our riders, volunteers, and our equine partners will remain our top priority.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’ll share another update tomorrow.
