Huge Weekend for the Lady Vikings! πŸ€Όβ€β™€οΈπŸ†

"You might win some, you might lose some. But you go in, you challenge yourself, you become a better person, a better individual, a better fighter."

Our girls took that mindset to heart this weekend, split between two major events, and the results speak for themselves! 😀πŸ’ͺ

Tonight we celebrated an incredible 2025-2026 wrestling season!

We are so beyond proud of this group. At every single tournament, these girls brought their A-game. They showed up, showed out, and brought home a serious amount of hardware. Looking back at the team stats, it was a huge year: three 1st place finishes, three 2nd place finishes, and one 5th place. That is a season to be proud of!

The work isn't over for everyone yet, though. Some of our girls are competing at Logan this weekend, while a few others are heading to districts. After districts, STATE!
Best of luck to everyone still on the mat!

For our awards tonight, we let the team and their families vote for Sportsmanship, MVP, and Most Improved, and then the coaches chose the Coaches Award. Here are your winners:

Most Improved: Bailee
Bailee has done a fantastic job. When she first signed up, she was a bit unsure of herself, but she has improved tremendously. The people who voted for her mentioned that her growth was incredible to watchβ€”the difference between her first practice and her last match was night and day.

Sportsmanship Award: Melody
The votes for Melody really highlighted how much she helps everyone else during practice. She’s always willing to demonstrate moves, and beyond that, you can always find her at the other teams' tables making friends or coming up with new handshakes with her opponents.

MVP Award: Kaitlin
Those who voted for Kaitlin talked about how much she helps the other girls on the mat during tournaments. She is dependable, a true team player, and has a positive attitude that makes her an essential part of this team.

Coaches Award: Gabby
Us coaches thought hard about the entire season and decided Gabby was the perfect fit for this. She was with us last year, and the jump she made between then and now is just incredible. We chose her because she is dependable, has a massive willingness to learn, and always shows up for her team. She leaves it all on the mat every single time. This award really embodies all three categoriesβ€”improvement, sportsmanship, and MVP. We are so proud of you, Gabby!

We had such a blast this season. Thank you to all the families and wrestlers for making it a great year!

2026 Freddie Invite Champions! πŸ†πŸ’ͺ

Last year, we walked away as the runners-up, but this year, we’re bringing home the trophy! Out of 24 schools, these girls fought their way to that #1 spot, and we couldn’t be prouder.

It was a grueling day for the team. Between the 5:00 AM wake-up call, the long bus ride, and competing until 8:00 PM, these girls didn't get home until lateβ€”only to shower, eat, and grab a few hours of sleep before doing it all over again for school and practice.
That is the definition of a grind, and they are getting stronger every single week.
