And last but certainly not least: Alexis Wilcox #8️⃣8️⃣. Lex is on her way to a 💯+ saves season and we can’t wait to celebrate her biggest milestone as a way to cap off her high school career! She might be tiny but she certainly is mighty on the field and can often be found sliding on the ground and surprising her opponents with her quick moves. Alexis has also played for and has been playing she was little (can you believe they make pads that small?!). Thank you for a great four years, Lex! ❤️💛🏑

Next up: Captain Molly Donadoni #2️⃣4️⃣! Following in previous BRVFH gingers’ footsteps, Molly is one of the toughest 💪🏻 players to beat. She weaves in and out of traffic and still makes great passes and fantastic shots. Molly has also played for and has been playing since was really little (I mean look at that face!). We are looking forward to watching your career advance while playing at F&M!! ❤️💛🏑

Next up: Captain Emma Markowitz #1️⃣1️⃣! One of the many players named “Emma,” she is affectionately nicknamed Mark (🤷‍♀️🤣). She is the current queen of defensive saves, sometimes making saves with her ✋🤚. Now that’s commitment! What a solid career, Mark! ❤️💛🏑

Next up: Emma Ayoub #8️⃣! Quite possibly the tallest player we have ever had, UB uses her long arms to whip the ball down the field to our attacking line. That reach she has can stop any ball nearby. We are so excited that you are looking into college hockey – go get ‘em! ❤️💛🏑

When we leave things behind, our players sing the 🫖song. When @brhsfootball leaves their ipad behind, the whole team sings 🎶

WHOOP! Our first home game of the season is on Monday when we welcome @dominiontitansfieldhockey at 5:30pm and host the @wolverine_fh vs @tusky.fieldhockey game immediately following at 6:45pm. On Monday we play in honor of Brian Hricik, father of former Spartan Madie Hricik (‘19), who was the Original Voice of Broad Run Varsity Field Hockey and a first responder for the City of Alexandria on September 11th. Brian passed away earlier this year due to pancreatic cancer. A charity was set up in his honor called Responder Care whose mission is to “provide charitable and private EMS MIH-CP to enhance the protection and care of Responders and their families.” We invite you to donate to the charity today in honor of Brian. Brian’s wife, Cindy Hricik, will be our Guest of Honor on Monday and will share a few words about Brian and the organization. Please see our bio for the link to donate!

A 1-0 over Tusky keeps us in the hunt! Headed to District Semis on Monday for a rematch with #2 Dominion. Game at DHS at 6:30pm.

With a 2-0 win over County, Spartans end the regular season in 3rd place! First District Tournament game is Thursday at BR at 6:30pm when we will take on Tuscarora. WAY TO GO, SPARTANS!!
