70 years young. 💪

Knee arthritis. Varicose veins. Previous ankle injury. Shoulder muscle tear.

Most people would look at that list and focus on limitations.

We focus on possibilities.

Today, she learned a new movement - landmine clean Alex Kanellis using the The Spann Bar | Landmine Bar by Collis Spann | Strength Coach
Instead of forcing deep knee bends, jumps, or positions that might aggravate her joints, I adjusted the movement to match her body. She generated power through controlled rotation, quick leg switches, and step-backs while keeping her knees and shoulders pain-free.

The goal isn’t to make everyone move the same way.

The goal is to help each person move better, build strength, improve confidence, and stay active for life.

Pain-free movement doesn’t mean avoiding challenge. It means finding the right challenge for the individual in front of you.

At 70 years old, she’s still learning new skills, building power, and proving that age is not the barrier, lack of movement is.

Movement is medicine. Strength has no age limit. ❤️

Last week, two of our trainers, Jamie and Neil, attended the 2nd Annual Toss for a Cause Charity Co****le Tournament alongside D Fitness Lab client Betsy!

Betsy, who works with Bank of Clarke and helped sponsor the event, put together a team and invited Jamie and Neil to join her in supporting an incredible cause benefiting the CJ3 Foundation.

🔥 Feeling Hip Thrusts in Your Lower Back Instead of Your Glutes?

Your glutes might not be the problem—your setup could be.

Common reasons your lower back takes over:

❌ Ribs flared and core disengaged
❌ Overarching at the top (“chasing height”)
❌ Feet too far away or too close
❌ Bench height not ideal for your body
❌ Loading too heavy before mastering the movement
❌ Lack of pelvic control and glute engagement

✅ Think “ribs down.”
✅ Brace your core before every rep.
✅ Tuck your pelvis slightly at the top.
✅ Stop when your hips are fully extended
✅ Drive through your heels and squeeze your glutes hard.

Remember: The goal is to load your glutes, not your lumbar spine.
