In Walk-Off, Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates Lose To El Dorado Springs

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates fell to El Dorado Springs 7-6 on Friday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Brooke Nicholson induced Lacyn Perrodin to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates lost despite out-hitting El Dorado Springs eight to seven. Addyson Murray and Brooklyn Rowden each collected two hits for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored two runs, and Oakley Dowling scored after tagging up.

El Dorado Springs made the score 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh after Darlinda Davis singled, scoring two runs, and Nicholson induced Perrodin to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Perrodin earned the win for El Dorado Springs. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking five. Nicholson took the loss for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates. The hurler went six and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking five.

Brylee Bartlett and Rowden were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates. Abby Stevens paced Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates turned one double play in the game.

Davis drove the middle of the lineup, leading El Dorado Springs with four runs batted in. Davis went 2-for-4 on the day. Davis and Mikayla Nelson each collected two hits for El Dorado Springs. A Eiskina led El Dorado Springs with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game. Tayah Garringer stole two bases. Hits Aplenty In Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates Victory Over Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates

Both Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates and Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates had their offenses going on Monday, but Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates eventually prevailed 18-12. Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates collected 16 hits, while Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates had eight.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates first got on the board when Addyson Murray singled, scoring two runs.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Brooke Nicholson and Brooklyn Rowden.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates added two runs in the third after Oakley Dowling singled down the left field line.

Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a double by Abigail Fitzlaff, an error, a single by Alea Dawson, an error, and a single by Athena Wilson.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead, 18-12. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Nicholson on the sixth pitch of the at-bat that drove in two.

Lacey McCullough earned the win for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and eight runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking six. Kyra Keeling took the loss for Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates. The starting pitcher went seven innings, surrendering 18 runs (17 earned) on 16 hits, striking out two and walking nine. Nicholson collected the save.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates tallied 16 hits in the game. Dowling provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-5 on the day. Lillie Carter, Murray, Nicholson, Rowden, Dowling, Natalie Jolivette, and Jaelynn Daniel each collected two hits for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates. Abby Stevens paced Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game.

Addison Rogers set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates with three hits in four at bats. Wilson and Dawson each drove in three runs for Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates. Evelyn Raylyanu led Pleasant Hope Varsity Lady Pirates with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Wilson stole two bases.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates Fall To Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals Despite Strong Effort From Brooke Nicholson

Brooke Nicholson collected three hits in three at bats, but Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates lost to Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals 12-2 on Wednesday. Nicholson hit a home run to center field in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Chloe Hendricks singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Ashlynn Helton singled, scoring two runs.

Nicholson homered to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the third for the Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates.

Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Helton singled, scoring one run, Rachel Nunez singled, scoring two runs, and Addi Hohenfeldt homered to right field, scoring three runs.

Tori Hollister earned the win for Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals. The righty gave up eight hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Nicholson took the loss for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on eight hits, striking out two and walking seven.

Brylee Bartlett collected two hits for Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates in two at bats.

Nunez drove the middle of the lineup, leading Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals with four runs batted in. The catcher went 3-for-3 on the day. Helton collected two hits for Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals in four at bats. Loghann Leivan led Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Miller Varsity Lady Cardinals were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nunez had the most chances in the field with seven.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates will travel to Lockwood Varsity Lady Tigers for their next game on Thursday.

Lacey McCullough struck out 10 batters as the left-handed pitcher led Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates past Pierce City Varsity Eagles 4-2 on Tuesday. McCullough surrendered three hits and two runs over seven innings while walking none.

Ash Grove Varsity Lady Pirates were the first to get on the board in the third when Natalie Jolivette singled, scoring one run.

Savanna Haselwood took the loss for Pierce City Varsity Eagles. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering four runs (zero earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking four.
