The Dallas Cowboys have a $136 million problem, and his name is George Pickens. βοΈπ§¨
When Jerry Jones traded for George Pickens in the spring, the goal was simple: find a "Robin" for CeeDee Lambβs "Batman."
But after 16 weeks of the 2025 season, the roles in this duo have become dangerously blurred. ππ
The Stats are staggering: CeeDee Lamb officially secured his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season, joining Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as the only Cowboys to ever do it.
In any other year, CeeDee would be the undisputed King of Dallas. But 2025 belongs to the "Alien." π½π
Because George Pickens is taking over. After exploding for 130 yards and a TD against the Chargers, Pickens now has five games this season with those exact stats. Good for the most in Cowboys history.
While Lamb has been the steady All-Pro, Pickens has been the human highlight reel. Dak Prescott didn't mince words after the game, calling Pickens "otherworldly" and saying, "He isn't from this planet. Weβve gotta keep him here." πβ
But thereβs a catch (literally).
The "Batman and Robin" bromance hasn't been without its drama. Fans still haven't forgotten the Week 11 benching against the Raiders, where both stars sat the opening drive due to "meeting type discipline."
The 2026 Dilemma: The Cowboys are now the only team in the NFL to have a 4,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher, and TWO 1,000-yard receivers. So how are they going to keep all of them, because the defense is probably not going to improve on its own.
