Graduation 2020 – date/time change

Location: WISD football complex

Due to the very strong chance of inclement weather, WHS graduation will be moved to Saturday, May 23rd, at 11AM.

The weather forecast predicts 60-80% chances of rain beginning Sunday and continuing through most of next week. In order to avoid the rain, we are obligated to move the graduation to the above date and time. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience; we only want to provide the best graduation experience for our students and guests.

If Saturday morning presents us with rain, we will try again at 3pm and 7pm. If these times fail us, we will again attempt our graduation Sunday, May 24th at 3pm. If we are still facing rain, we will try again at 5pm and 7pm. Should the entire weekend be a washout, we will postpose until Saturday, May 30th at 11am.

If the weather is uncooperative Saturday morning, WISD will send out a phone alert to announce any changes. These changes will also be updated on our page. We cannot express

Archer County Archery club! These kids did great this year! Archer County Banquet!! Congratulations to all our Archery kids! Special congratulations to Kreede Neal and Kensley Vieth on their Star Awards!!

We will have our first Safety meeting on Sunday, August 26th at 5:00 at the Shooting sports complex and another meeting on Tuesday August 28th at 6:00 at the Shooting sports complex. You will need to attend one of these meetings to be able to practice with the archery team. The reason for this is that we had so many kids trying to join in the middle of the year and it was taking away from the coaches helping the kids that were already enrolled and some kids were being overlooked on training them on Safety. We all know that Safety is our most important things to learn. We will have another safety meeting in the fall, that is when we can have more kids join at that time.


Can't wait to get the new year started and see what these kids can do.
