I didn’t expect to love it this much.

Baseball is long. The sun is hot. The pants are filled with grass stains. (Seriously though. Why are baseball pants white?)

But then I watched him.

The way he lights up when he’s with his team.
The way he walks a little taller in that uniform.
The way the field feels like home to him—and somehow, now, to me too.

I became a baseball mom slowly. Game by game. Weekend by weekend. And somewhere between the early morning drives and late nights, I realized I wasn’t just showing up, I was falling in love.

Not just with the sport, but with what it’s given him. The confidence. The joy. The friendships. The way he’s learning to win with humility and lose with grace.

Baseball’s not just something he plays. It’s part of who he is now. And because I love him, I’ve grown to love this part of him, too.

So I’ll keep showing up, with my folding chair and sunscreen and plenty of water. (It's hot out there!)

I’ll keep watching him grow, inning by inning. And I’ll keep falling in love with this season of life.

Because this isn’t just his game anymore. It’s a piece of our story now.

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.❤
