There are a few things happening currently and I would like to remind everyone about them!!
Tomorrow night we will be having the 'Friday Night Poker Scramble' as we will be doing every Friday Night, all season. It is a 4-5 person team scramble. Everyone pays $5 into the pot, and an additional $3 if you would like to try to be closest to the pin on holes #3, #6, or #9. At the end of play, each team draws 5 playing cards to try to make the best poker hand. For every stroke the team is under par, they draw and extra card to attempt to make the best hand. After everyone has run through, a winner is determined!!
A reminder for Saturday: There will be a gathering at the clubhouse from 1:00pm - 4:00pm to remember Gloria Esancy. If you come to play Golf or Disc Golf, please use the side 'office' door for your transactions. It is to the right of the big clubhouse doors.
We will be running a FLAG TOURNAMENT for Memorial Day weekend. If you have an established handicap, you add that to the course par and see how far you make it around the course. When you reach the last stroke, you put an American Flag in the ground with your name on it. Go around as many times as you would like for $5.00, each trip around. At the end of the day on Monday (Memorial Day), we will find the (2) people who made it around the furthest and will split up the winnings in cash, from the entries.
We will be starting the Men's Twilight League on Tuesday, May 26th. If you had thought about playing, there may still be room for a team or 2 to get in for the season. If you are a non-member, the cost is $400 plus your GHIN handicap fee of $28, unless you have one already established elsewhere, and carts are included. Please let me (MERT) know right away!
We will be having a scramble here in honor of Frank's Birthday on Saturday, June 30th. It will begin at either 9:00 or 10:00 but I don't have the final word on that start time yet. It will be (4) person scramble, prizes of merch at the end. Cost is $55/person and we will feed everyone! Please let me know as soon as you can!
On June 1st we will be starting the 'Masters League' at 4:30pm. Teams of (2) over 60 years old will compete against each other, playing from the Senior T's using your handicap. Carts are included.
Also, on that same evening, June 1st, we will begin our 'Ladies Twilight' and will gather for drinks and a snack, beginning at 5:30. Around 6:00pm all the ladies will go out for a fun evening on the course, playing together in a scramble format! You do not have to be an expert golfer to come play; it is intended to be a fun night out for any ladies who would like to join! You can come every week if you'd like, but it will be throughout the summer, every Monday, so come when you can! The cost will be $100 for every 4 weeks or $25 on the nights you are able to participate.
