We’re Coach Garai Fields and Coach Duane Redmond—two dedicated coaches who have built something special from the ground up. With hard work, love, and commitment, we’ve partnered with the Ann Arbor YMCA Downtown to create two AAU teams and a younger development team to bridge the gap for student-athletes new to the AAU world.

Our mission? To cultivate a culture of hard work, growth, and opportunity. If you’re looking for a safe, competitive, and supportive basketball environment, this is the place to be. You get what you put in—and we’re here to push you to be your best.

If you’re looking for an affordable, community-focused AAU program led by two committed coaches who have built their business from the ground up with hard work, love, and commitment, come be a part of something special!

We’ve partnered with the YMCA to create a safe, competitive, and growth-focused environment for 7th and 8th grade boys to develop their skills, compete, and be part of a basketball family.

COMING THIS MONTH - NOVEMBER

🏀 Prodigy Elite Camp
Trained and skilled coaches, Garai and Duane from , will lead this 2-day camp in building fundamentals of shooting, dribbling and in game strategies geared towards youth looking to enhance their skill. All skill levels welcome! Open to ages 7-17.

🍼 Babysitter Certification Course
Learn the necessary skills to keep children of all ages happy, safe, and engaged. Additionally, participants will learn about the entrepreneurship of babysitting and develop skills and strategies to turn this certification into a business.

⭐️ Veterans Day
On behalf of the Ann Arbor YMCA, we would like to say Happy Veterans Day and thank you for your service to both our Veteran and Active-Duty Military members and non-members. 𑁍 Iyengar Yoga Pose Workshop: Backwards Extending Asanas - Mobilize and Open
Explore a family of backwards extending postures & become more aware of the back body. Looking at the asanas with a global perspective, using the practice of Iyengar Yoga to develop our awareness, honing in on our bodies & learning how to listen and respond to our unique form.

📖 Autism 101 Training
The Autism Alliance of Michigan will be hosting a virtual Autism 101 training on Tuesday, November 14th from 6:30pm-7:45pm. This training will cover topics such as: defining autism and it's levels, social communication characteristics, communication strategies, and more.

🍽 Nutrition Workshop
Join our in-house dietitian, Kathryn Thatch, as we discuss how to navigate nutrition during the holidays. Enjoy your favorite foods without guilt, or having to sacrifice wellness goals! 🔗

🏓 Learn to Play Pickleball
Interested in learning the game everyone knows and loves? Our pickleball instructors will teach you the rules and techniques of the court! More details to come.

🗓 Holiday Closure
All Ann Arbor YMCA sites, including childcare centers will be closed in observation of the holiday. We look forward to seeing you again on the 24th!
