Time for Back Surgery?
From 2007 thru 2009 I continued to have EXTREME back pain due to a herniated disk. I was losing the ability to walk on my heels... and continued to lose strength in my legs. Couldn't play tennis - couldn't move to get to the ball. Not good for someone who loves martial arts! So I decided to act.
I did not want to lose my ability to kick you or take you down!
I did not want to lose any athletic capabilities.
I found LSI in Tampa, Florida. Laser Spine Institute, which no longer exists because their CFO at that time commited fraud, stole their money and caused them to go down the drain. However, many of their doctors are still around doing miracles because they know fusions are not good!
I had "invasive back surgery" back in 2009. Rhonda was not happy that I decided to go 1/2 across the US to get this done! I did my research...if all of these MMA athletes, pro Wrestlers and pro Golfers were going to this place - then so am I. I decided NO FUSION in my back...and guess what? BEST THING I EVER DID!
After almost two years of her own pain, I decided enough is enough for the love of my life. I watched her go through all of the crap they want you to go thru for the insurance protocals to kick in so they can pay everyone. We finally got to the MRI because a regular back surgeon who does "fusions" wanted to see how he could fuse everything.
The next step was the MRI to Dr. Wolff, who did my invasive surgery back in '09. My wife had her surgery, about 1.5 hours this past Wednesday. Had two little one inch incisions in her back where he used his "dremel" as he called it, to open up the areas in her back where the nerves were getting pinched and causing her pain. We flew home Thursday!
If any of you are thinking about having fusion back surgery, because the good Dr. says that is your only option, please...re-think your options.
Oh...and by the way, Dr. Wolff does a lot of surgeries where he removes the "rods" from previous fusions and helps many of his patients get back to normal living activities!
I'm not making one penny from this. I'm just a physical fitness nut who still likes to work out and I think everyone needs to know there are other - better options out there!
