We are currently on a weather delay until 5:20pm. We will keep you posted. Teams will meet in the white building to do chalk talk until we are cleared to practice. Academy athletes will have to wait in vehicles until an all clear is given.

Pursuit Family, It is with great sadness that we share the tragic passing of Hunter, Joel’s son, who passed away following a severe seizure at such a tragically young age.

Our hearts are with Joel, Karen, Lily, Grace, and Payton as they face this unimaginable loss. We hope they find comfort in the love and support of their family, friends, and the entire club community during this incredibly difficult time.

The family will be traveling to Oklahoma this week for the first of two memorial services. In order to give Joel and his family the time and space they need to be together, we will have a revised schedule for this week:

Coach Martin will train all six teams at their regularly scheduled times.
There will be no Technical Skills Training at the Academy this week.
The second memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at:

FUMC Missouri City
3900 Lexington Blvd.
Missouri City, TX 77459

We ask our club family to keep Joel and his family close in your hearts during this time and to give them the support, understanding, and space they need as they mourn Hunter and celebrate his life.

Our club/family does not hide its faith in Christ, and we will lean into that faith in the weeks, months, and years ahead. Lord, hear our prayers.
