Will P drove in six runs on three hits to lead Andover Ducks 6U past ICT-Futures 6U Zimmerman 16-1 on Saturday at Westurban Baseball. Will hit a home run to center field in the third scoring three, singled in the second scoring two, and doubled in the first scoring one.
ICT-Futures 6U Zimmerman opened the scoring in the first after Hudson Z doubled, scoring one run.
Andover Ducks 6U jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Beckett S singled down the left field line, Will doubled down the left field line, Crew D singled up the middle, Tanner W singled , and Max G singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Andover Ducks 6U extended their early lead with five runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Maverick G, Will, Crew, and Rhett L.
Six more Andover Ducks 6U runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 16-1. Lawson D singled, scoring one run, Beckett singled, scoring one run, Maverick singled, scoring one run, and Will homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Will opened the game for Andover Ducks 6U. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Marcello W led things off on the bump for ICT-Futures 6U Zimmerman. The lefty surrendered 23 hits and 16 runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking none. Crew threw one inning of shutout ball for Andover Ducks 6U in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
