The Herd exists to create the best home-court and home-field advantage possible while representing Amherst with pride, passion, and class.
👥 WHO CAN BE IN THE HERD?
Grades 7-12
✅ Welcome to join The Herd at all home events.
Grades 4-6
✅ You’re welcome to join the student section as long as you follow all Student Section Expectations.
⚠️ Students who are disruptive, unsafe, or choose not to follow expectations will be asked to return to their parents or guardians.
Preschool-3rd Grade
❤️ We love your Bronco spirit!
Please enjoy the game while sitting with your parent or guardian rather than in the student section.

❤️ Cheer FOR Amherst.
Support our Broncos with positive energy instead of putting opponents down.
🔥 Be Loud.
Bring the energy from the first serve, first pitch, first whistle, or kickoff until the final buzzer.
🎭 Dress the Theme.
Go all in! The more students participating, the better The Herd looks.
📱 Be Present.
Put the phones away and be part of the action.
🎶 Follow the Leaders.
Join the chants and traditions together to create one loud student section.
🏐🏈⚾🏀 Support ALL Programs.
Whether it’s football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track, softball, baseball, or any Amherst activity—we show up and support one another.
🎺 Respect Performances.
Give the band, cheerleaders, dance team, and other performers your attention and space while they’re performing.
🤝 Respect Everyone.
Officials, opponents, visiting fans, coaches, teammates, and school staff deserve respect.
🚫 No Profanity or Unsportsmanlike Behavior.
No inappropriate chants, taunting, throwing objects, or behavior that reflects poorly on Amherst.
👥 Stay Together.
Remain in the designated student section and help create one unified Herd.
⏰ Stay Until the End.
Win or lose, we support our teams from start to finish.
🧹 Leave It Better Than You Found It.
Throw away trash and take care of our facilities.
