, but so is Breakfast, and disability, and Love ❤️ Caregiver is never a role I imagined for myself, but that’s clearly what I came to Wisconsin to do. This is Fern. According to her husband, Fern and I would’ve been fast friends, if we didn’t kill each other first… Fern had a stroke two years ago which increased the progress of her dementia. She and I bonded immediately and she knows I’m her friend and that I’m here to help… at least most of the time. A couple weeks ago, my name escaped her face 😁 and late last week, do you know what Fern said?? PICKLEBALLS!! We ate breakfast sitting in chairs by the front door today, cause that’s what Fern wanted to do, and she’s the boss. We don’t follow the stinkin’ rules - we do what works! Is there suffering happening in your world because there are ‘rules’ that you struggle with which you feel you must follow? If the answer is yes - think about that rule. Do you REALLY need to follow it? Or is that just your default programming?
