WOW. We are overwhelmed with gratitude.

Thanks to our incredible volunteers, families, sponsors, students, and community supporters, Pony Palooza was a huge success. We hit our fundraising goal to help our program put more kids on horses!

This event was powered by countless hours of planning, hard work, generosity, and community spirit. From setting up, running activities, selling tickets, baking treats, leading horses, and cheering us on, every contribution mattered.

Because of you, we are one step closer to expanding our program and opening the gate for more children to experience the confidence, responsibility, leadership, and joy that horses bring.

One of the most important lessons horses teach us is that comparison is a losing game.

Every rider is different. Every horse is different. Every partnership has its own strengths, challenges, timeline, and path forward. There is no level playing field in our world, and there doesn’t need to be.

The goal isn’t to ride like someone else.
The goal isn’t to have someone else’s horse.
The goal isn’t to be on someone else’s journey.

The journey is yours.

There’s something powerful about watching young riders step into a sold out rodeo arena with courage in their hearts and purpose in their minds. 🇺🇸

Yesterday at the Valley Center Stampede Rodeo Junior Bell Races, the day felt especially meaningful with Memorial Day on all of our minds. Our girls stayed focused, rode with heart, and showed incredible bravery in front of thousands of spectators.

A huge congratulations to Abbey Lynn for bringing home the fastest time and a first place finish! What a beautiful run her and her horse Lucy!

Both of these young ladies have been students of ours for many years. To watch them work hard, prepare, practice, overcome nerves, and then step into that huge arena with confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do at Stoney Oaks Ranch.

The growth, grit, courage, and determination these girls continue to show makes us beyond proud. ❤️🐴🇺🇸

From little girl hugs on horseback… to fierce runs in the arena.

Through the years there are victories, frustrations, tears, laughter, hard lessons, and moments of quiet growth that no one else could see yet. And through it all, she keeps growing. Stronger. Braver. More independent.

This is more than learning to ride a horse.
It’s the journey of a young girl becoming a confident young lady.

The greatest honor of this work is getting to witness who these kids become over the years. Watching confidence replace fear. Watching leadership emerge. Watching them realize they are capable of more than they ever imagined.
