I am so excited to share that we have a line dancing instructor bringing an open session to Wright Park next week! Stephanie will be teaching us at no cost to the public at 6pm on Tuesday. If you have ever wanted to try line dancing or just want to get some exercise and fresh air, now's your chance! Line dances are simple steps repeated, so you don't have to know them before coming. Tag a friend who should try it with you ⬇

After three incredible seasons of parks and recreation events, we have a lot to look back on! The success of the grant program would not be possible without our staff, community partners, volunteers, and the supporters who show up and make it all worth it. As the grant period comes to an end this month, we would like to reflect on the program and talk about opportunities for the future of Alma Parks & Rec. Planning to celebrate with food and yard games!

Today is world su***de prevention today, and we are again joining Child Advocacy and Gratiot Integrated Health Network for the now annual tradition of Hope in the Park! This is a wonderful community fair in Wright Park from 5 to 7 pm in support of mental health awareness and sharing the resources available in our community. Come enjoy inflatables, games, and a free picnic dinner of hot dogs!

An event in Highland Park this weekend to support local art initiatives. The group that hosts this also helps us with our summer concert in the park series, so if you enjoy those events, stop on out and show your support on Saturday.

Update: Justin will not be joining us tonight. He is struck with bad luck with these dates but changing plans is the name of the game in parks & rec. Thank you for understanding!

Hi guys! A while ago we had an event cancellation, but Justin Judge is able to come back tomorrow for a reschedule date! This will be the very last concert performance planned for this year, and a great closer since he is a core musician from this community. Thank you for all the support of the music series.

Enjoy a free activity to explore the Conservation Park area tomorrow! Conservation Park is accessed through Pine River Park. Looks like the weather will be pleasant.

Softball and Pickleball are ON for tonight!

Yoga is canceled due to the grass being too wet.

We are monitoring the weather for Yoga in the Park and the Coed Softball League for this evening. We will post by 4:00pm whether or not both of them are still on or we'll be forced to cancel. Thank you.
