Cut-Off Challenge

Cut-Off Challenge Annie was just five years old when she died in an ATV accident in August of 2019. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed.

Last summer, 12 of us got together for an entertaining and lively round of golf that was followed by a few hours of food, drinks and lots of laughs. Those drinks and laughs ultimately led

us to an idea of “doing it again sometime.” We always say stuff like that, but how often does it really happen? Well, this time it is happening, and this event promises to be bigger and better than last year’s humble beginnings. This is your invitation to The 2nd Annual Cut-Off Challenge on July 12th, 2014 at Rose Ridge Golf Course (4769 Gibsonia Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101). The Cut-Off Challenge is a 2-person scramble, where each team's players hit from the tee-box, then choose the better of the two balls for the next shot. Both players play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. In addition to the scramble, The Cut-Off Challenge will feature prizes for team skins, closest to the pin, longest drive, a putting contest, and MORE! With more than 50 donated prizes, including some pretty impressive ‘event experiences’ up for grabs, we’re sure that no one will leave empty handed. And if you do, well, at least you will have had a great time with a fantastic group of people. As if coming together to hang out with best friends, catch up with old friends, and make some new friends isn’t reason enough to join us on July 12, 100% of the proceeds from The 2nd Annual Cut-Off Challenge will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Our goal this year is to have 72 participants and to raise $5000.00 through your entry fee to golf, and your generosity at our dinner party after the round, as you try to win some awesome prizes.

The 8th annual Cut-Off Challenge charity golf event will take place on August 1st at Pittsburgh National Golf Course. This year we are so proud to be supporting The Forever Five Fund, a fund established in the fall of 2019 after a family we love, Abbie and Steve Whittingham, tragically lost their beautiful five-year-old daughter, Annie.

The Forever Five Fund is currently being used to create a whole new, and appropriately named, area of McCahill Park in Fox Chapel, PA, it is full of all the things Annie loved about the outdoors; the Whittingham Family is excited to bring Annie's spirit and her joy of play to "Annie's Field of Dreams".

That's right, on July 21st, friends and family from all over with get together at Pittsburgh National Golf Course, and then Camp Deer Creek in support of an incredible cause, and have a lot of fun doing it. Once again this year, the goal of our event is to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, and dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western PA. Last year, we had 60 golfers (and friends) and raised over $8,000 for the effort to fight CF. On August 6th, we hope to increase both of those number significantly.

The 3rd Annual Cut Off Challenge was a HUGE success yesterday. Through our golf event and charity auction, we raised over $8,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western PA!! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the cause yesterday. Special thanks to all of our friends who volunteered their time and effort to make this year's event as incredible as it was.
