2019 Intro To Shooting Sports Class!
We are announcing our annual Intro To Shooting Sports
class on April 20th at 10am
Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club is hosting a special STSK Intro to Shooting Sports Class on Saturday April 20th 2019 at 10:00am. The class is only $60.00 instead of the normal $250.00! You will learn about and shoot a stage for up to 6 shooting sports. They will be IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association), Falling Steel, USPSA and Steel Challenge. The match director Dave Snyder will be teaching the Steel Challenge stage. John Harold runs the IDPA program at Ontelaunee and will be teaching IDPA with an IDPA certified RSO (Donna Millan).
New for this year: A live fire presentation from 3 Gun Nation!
Shooting sports will help you practice for personal defense and introduce you to a new aspect of shooting that is very addictive!
The classroom and live fire will be at Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club. This is open to the public.
This class is for anyone who wants to learn and try pistol shooting sports. You may have seen a lot of these shooting sports on the outdoor channel. Most people do not know how many local clubs host shooting sports. Check out the video on the STSK home page.
Requirements: Bring your legally owned handgun with owners manual, at least 3 magazines,( moon clips or speed loaders for revolvers), any accessories you have purchased, at least 150 rounds of ammo, eye and hearing protection. An OWB holster and mag pouches/holsters are recomended but not required for this class.
**A holster is not required to take this class but strongly recommended**
Please wear comfortable clothing and dress for the weather. This class is rain or shine. No open-toed shoes. Minimum age 8 years old. We require a parent or guardian to be with children ages 8 - 17.

Yes, you can take this class if you have already done it in the past.
By the end of class you will understand what you are seeing in this picture. You will be able to comfortably shoot a match after taking this class
